Simpkin needs an injury or a shocker from Liddle, neither of which are out of the question, and would certainly happen of I traded him out before Rnd 13 lists.

Can't keep him just for the possibility of that though.

Any decent ones, though? I need to punt Niu as he will never play football again, I need cash and most importantly, I need a 17th player this week. Hating these forced trades, though.

    Looking at the options quickly I thought;

Brayden Musgrove (228) - need to see how long Hunt is out for, but this dude seems to keep popping up. Shame he can't score Fantasy points, so not really an option.

Shawn Blore (238) - so much chat about this fella, but any chance he actually score any Fantasy points this year? Nice price.

Poasa Faamausili (285) - a bit more expensive, but can people talk me out of him? Do we assume he's in the starting side for five weeks? If so, surely that is far too good to pass up? He's my front-runner.

Keenan Palasia (228) - I haven't mentioned other guys who are likely only to be there for a week or two with other folk returning, but there's raps on this chap, is there not? Either way, I have banned Broncos from my team for the rest of 2021 and this 2-weeker is certainly no exception, is he?

Cade Cust (252) - nearly barged my way into my app to make this trade when I saw this, but then read Foran only out for three weeks including the bye? Guess that crosses him off the list.

Heaps of other guys I missed, but I can't see any of those other guys playing more than a week or two (as tempting as Jakob Arthur is). Any one interesting I missed, and is Faamausili the best bet here?

Really only leaves To'o or Gutherson who are both chances for Origin, or maybe Edwards.

I just don't think I can get Haas, DiFi and Pap in post-origin, so think I'll hold.

That's fair enough, I luckily can just run Teddy/Turbo/Doueihi as my WFBs (planning to sell Laurie to Latrell in round 14 if I can swing it)

Might skip Walsh now and just look at something like Simpkin to maybe Brian Kelly. Means I'll run Peach on the bench long term which I'm fine with and adds the cover.

I have Niu and Milf (and Pap, Fifita and Munster) in my team, so Simpkin survives the cut this week.

I didn't even include him in my cheap options for the week (didn't actually think he'd be that cheap!) but I have banned Broncos from my team, and surely he's far too risky, isn't he?

I can't actually remember the dude. Any chance he can do what few other Broncos have done in 2021, and lock down a position in the team?

Have just started fixing it up a bit.

    https://footystatistics.com/bye_planner.php

If you are in the top 10k (sorry anyone who isn't), you can use the drop down at hte top to find your team and it will auto populate the planner. Enter cash in bank and trades remaining and then click through players in each round to set up trades/etc

I'd say its not all working properly yet but I will fix it up over the next day or two.

Note: i wouldnt bother trying to use it on a mobile.
I'd hazard a guess that those of us outside the top 10k need the bye planner more than anyone. Discrimination!

No, sure. Personally, I have 17 this week so Simpkin can wait for a look at Kelly and see if he's worth bringing in rather than Flegler or Poasa or whoever else.

Got him a couple of weeks ago, a pair of 38s (particularly in a heavy defeat) has me perfectly happy.

    Just don't jinx him!

Poasa has scored pretty well with the minutes he has been given this year. Might be one for next week to see what sort of minutes he gets

Jeez, I missed him in my list too. That's actually not a bad option at all as at least he keeps playing even after Dufty returns. Jeez it's an unappealing scoresheet for 2021, though.

Yeah he probably plays next week.

I'm still selling since he will also miss 13 and likely 14 as well, while Hughes will (hopefully) play all 4 of those games, and they're great matchups (Raiders, Broncos, Titans, Warriors)

Throwing a spanner in the works

Is there a chance Papenhuyzen misses Origin would only have 1 game to get match fitness before Origin having not played since R6 (excluding 13 mins on the weekend)

Edit: my autocorrect is an asshole

Having Simpkin, Leniu and Roberts is annoying. I just know I'll trade one out and they'll be named in the team next week.

Simpkin does seem the least likely to become useful soon though but 2k short of him to Starling

Presumably Cooper John's can play half with a name like that.

Cooper is an out and out halfback. Matty's son so obviously knows a lot about the game. Will fill in admirably but thought he would be behind Ryley Jacks

It's definitely an interesting option. Just thinking, though, with a BE of 37, by the time he's worked his BE down to a place where he can make some money, he's probably back out on the wing, isn't he? It's definitely worth a consideration, though.
