Shuster was a forward before he became a half

For body type, Moylan didn't spring to mind. In first grade Schuster has 53 tackles, 1 missed, with 40 tackles last week filling in on the edge. Expecting a guy his size to be one of the best tackling halves in the comp.

Wasn't a direct comparison (just used Moylan as an example of someone who misses a lot of tackles). At $300k if he gets a starting edge gig it's absolutely worth a punt & he will make money but....he is a half. He filled in admirably on the weekend (& maybe he has a long history of playing edge at school) but it's sort of a specialist position and with a bit more research i'm sure canny halves will look to exploit any positional or defensive deficiencies in his game. It's a consideration before anyone gets too carried away.

    For Macca owners

Official word from the NRL Stats folks: “The pass from McCullough is a general ball from dummy half which does not affect the decision making of the defence. Josh Kerr beats the four defenders on his own to crash over.”

Beating 4 defenders on his own would have been clear enough i would have thought

Eh, looked like a TA to me. Dragons were shaped left. Macca went the crash ball to the short side..

An example of a general pass his pass to Hunt, where hunt scored.

To hard to decide between the 4 of Alvaro, Collins, Schuster and Paps this week. Really don't like Alvaro and never thought he'd get a sniff in a side managed by me. Is he a chance to be stuffed with mins and rotations ?

Yeah I thought watching the Kerr try live it definitely should have been awarded a TA.

I had no interest in him but at his price maybe worth a gamble and allows me to build a slight bank.

It's nice and all that the Milf is up against the Dogs this week. But after that they're playing top 4 sides and up against:

    Munster and KBrom
    Walker and Koala
    Luai and Kikau

Don't really feel comfortable holding him.

I'm only speculating based on Wayne's second row rotations. I'm happy to be wrong.

I guess it's between him and Lam I trade. Not that confident either at all.

Are we thinking that Schuster gets starting 2RF with Davey/Sironen gone or was he just a temporary fill in? Weighing up what to do with Davey; was considering just holding him in EMG until CHN comes back for Canberra, but Schuster starting might change things.

I think most likely scenario is schuster stays on bench and parker (des suggested this) or maybe aloiaia start on edge

Whoever it is will be opposing Kerr this week so maybe we can just have a prop v prop battle on that edge haha

Seems that there are 3 potential options, Schuster, Parker or Burbo. Unless Young is seriously injured (havent heard either way), I wouldnt expect CHN to be starting.
