Are you going for inconsistent players, or players with the highest potential to go huges (Relative to their average.)

The ones most likely to go huge, though that also means that they're currently inconsistent. Basically started with SJ and RTS, then Sege and GI and Taumalolo, then worked backwards from that. It's not meant to be a team absolutely full of PODs, but it's more chancey than my main team.

If you can afford him it might be worth a look in changing DCE to JT

    DCE, SJ, Hastings, ATaylor
    Hurrell, Auva'a, Copley (BHenry)
    RTS, GI, Ferguson (Gutherson, Anderson)

So basing a team around the highest potential scores, I would look at the following.

    HOK: J. Segeyaro (M. Parcell)
FRF: A. Fifita, G. Burgess (NPR, NPR)
2RF: R. Rochow, L. Ah Mau, J. Tapine (NPR, NPR, NPR)
    HLF: J. Thurston, D. Cherry-Evans (J. Hastings, A. Taylor)
    CTR: D. Copley, K. Auva'a (NPR, NPR)
    WFB: J. Tedesco, R. Tuivasa-Scheck, S. Radradra (NPR, NPR)

Now sure, you lack any real depth and if no FRF's are named you are screwed, and hey no exact 4th Ressie either.

But you have potential.. 100+ potential in every backline player. 70+ in FRF, HLF and HOK. Everyone knows CTR's can have massive games and a cheapish 2RF to fund it all. (This squad is a lot like my actual Gun Back team come to think of it.)

Don't know why you think it's off. Looks pretty solid to me.

Hookers- A common pairing and both should score very well for you this year
FRF- As mentioned Douglas is out to start the season. Besides that though he may be in line for more minutes or at least a step up in workload as he tries to lead from the front with no Myles. JTurbo is another who sounds like he could be in for an increase in either minutes or workload so both are potentiall undervalued. Personally I like the Pauli pick.
2RF- You've got your captaincy options sorted early on which is nice. I rate Cooper and think he will step up with no Merrin there. Rochow features in many teams and for good reason. Not so sure on the Hasson pick. Eels have a pretty large rotation of guys on the bench for their forward pack so unless you see him getting Pauli's role then game time could be an issue for him.
Halves- Going for 2 guns here will set you apart from a few sides. You don't get a potential cash cow in Niko but you get yourself a reliable gun scorer instead. DCE has great stats without Foran so expect him to go big while I would think ARey will return to his 2014 level now that he gets Burgess back and a more stable bunnies forward pack.
Centres- Hurrell is a risk but has a lot of upside potential. Cheapies with the others but that's what most seem to be going with anyway
WFBs- Mansour is a bit of a POD with some wary of his 2015 form and injury risk. I think he will go fine and with Fergo and Gordon there you have a nice back 3 that has a lot of upside but won't destroy the bank

    Cheers guys,

It just felt a player short, I guess I was looking at the fact I didn't really have an obvious back-up if someone goes missing early on. I saw Hasson sneaking onto the bench and more had him in due to Parra's schedule more than anything else.

This is what I've got at the moment, possibly a little thin towards the back...

WFB: Dugan, Mansour, Gutherson (Anderson, C.Matuatia)
    CTR: Hurrell, Auva'a (MCK, Hawkins)
    HLF: DCE, Hastings, Taylor (Jikorima)
2RF: Parker, W.Graham, Ah Mau, Tapine (Henry, Tanginoa)
    FRF: Fifita, J.Graham, Lawrence (CWN)
    HOK: Segeyaro, Granville

Holy hell that is an impressive team. Can't really fault it anywhere.

    - Though do you intend to play Granville if Kostjasyn is on the bench?
-Also what minutes are you expecting Lawrence to get?
    - If Dugan starts CTR's do you swap him out? Did none of the other $300k CTR's peak your interest.

    Thanks.

    - Yeah I probably will. Personally I see him playing 60-70 mins and then gradually move towards playing 80.. In the 7 games of 60+ mins last season, he averaged 56. I think Kostjasyn will come off the bench as lock for 20-25 mins to give Taumalolo a break, and then play 10-15 as hooker to give Granville a break..

    - If he plays, I'd be hoping for 30-40 mins. But if he doesn't get named I can go for Russell Packer..

    - I'll only play Dugan if he's named at FB.. There was a few guys around that price who I was looking at but Mansour's potential was the clincher.. But there's plenty of time to change my mind..

    - What are you hoping to get out of Sue?

Nothing else wrong with the team.

I thought I might try a "balanced side" (after reading the current discussions I am still not sure what that is) and I quite like it so far.

    Seg, Lichaa
    Graham, JDB, Lawrence
    Parker, Rochow, LAM, Turner
    DCE, J. Reynolds, Taylor, Hastings
    Hurrell, Avua'a, Gutherson
    Mansour, Gordon, Ferguson

I also like J.Reynolds to A.Reynolds and Hurrell to Gutherson
But that leaves me a bit light in the centres.

If Granville looks like getting 80 it would let me upgrade Lawrence.

posted this in fantasy thread, forgot about this lads

    Smith, Lichaa
    Woods, Graham, Ah Mau, CWN
Merrin, SST, Rochow, Whitehead, Whithcurch, Bhana
    DCE, JReyn, Hastings, Taylor
    Auva'a, Copley, MCK, Henry
    Gordon, Mansour, Gutherson, Mata'tai, Nuffie

Peats over Smith allows me Hurrel/Lafai over Copley so i don't have to run Copley and Gutherson in the 17 just the one so less risk
    Whitehead if starting otherwise Sue

In fairness if Auva'a, Copley, Gutherson can manage 25 would be happy to run them

I do not think he would lose money and he should still be a good pick. I would probably trade him for someone else like SST, Cartwright ect. Then upgrade somewhere else. OR I could downgrade Reynolds and bring in Surgess and upgrade Lawrence to SST ect.

Is Parcell going to be the No. 1 Hooker at Manly? I have Lichaa and Smith atm, but if it looks as though Parcell will play close to 80, and get around the 50pts, ill downgrade Lichaa and spread the left over cash through my backline.

If not Gallen, you probably want someone in that price range to be your captain. Someone who should give you 60+ each week

Smith, Fifita, Parker best alternatives. Thurston, Mannering next best.

DCE, Surgess, Seggy if you want to take a punt, but a bit more risk involved there.

Also, Parcell and Koroisau are likely to share hooking duties at Manly. Exact role as yet unknown. Parcell will probably get some game time, but perhaps not enough to give fantasy owners the price rise they want

If you are looking for forward value, the Knights should provide in the absence of Tariq Sims. Rochrow or Tapine. Tigers might also have some worthwhile players there.

Until trials turn up more options that is what we are mostly working off
