I had Hoy in all my early drafts but when I read that he won't be the gk it put me off him.

I think yeah, he said he felt great in the last one. I think Matt said he scored 17 points or something in 60 minutes? Said he'd be the try assist assist which I could definitely see.
Weren't minutes all fucked up though? Can see him being a bit rusty obviously. He seems in great spirits and in good health… A few games and he could find his straps again. Getting a bit more keen having him in my team to see if he can find some Panthers form.

They were but reported minutes were from Matt actually watching the game. I fell asleep watching that game, can't confirm.

Me too and I took him out of my team… but thinking more about it I have the following reasons to bring him back in
- he has looked damaging at his two stints at FB without scoring tries so it is purely a points grab compared to someone like Gos/Roberts
- Ponga is 4-6 weeks. 4 weeks the cash isn’t too great, 6 weeks the cash is alright.
- With a decent early draw if he has a big game that cash rise is worth it
- He could find a spot on the wing, centre, bench and you can ride a few more price jumps after his FB stint
- One injury to a half or outside back and he is first cab off the rank.
- If Barnett gets HIA/injury/misses a few kicks Tex takes the Tee.

When page 51 comes around and I'm on the mobile I'll use the insert GIF button from the toolbar in the menu.
On the desktop I prefer to embed links mostly from tenor.com. I use Giphy.com when I'm after nrl/player/club related GIFs as there seem to be more of those in the giphy library.

Fui or Croker for the last spot on my interchange? Im leaning on Fui but scared on gameday changes. Croker stinks of Levi last season

If Croker averages the same as Levi then he is 12 pts underpriced.
Fui's pretty tempting (i don't have him because I spent too much on the starting 17), but I was keen to run him at 18th.. little to no info coming out of the Dragons though so just hard to tell what the plan is.

Fui's job security is what puts me off atm, i have no doubt he'll score ok at 13. I vaguely remember him filling in at 13 last year or the year before when someone went of injured and he did ok.

The prospect of Hoy as a purely points play is making me seriously consider bringing him back and not running with Croker, only issue would be leaving out either Laurie or Liddle for him, since I have Papy and Teddy as my other two WFBs

Join me on the Townsend trainJumping Marlin wrote:Does anyone want to talk me in/out of Chad Townsend who is currently sitting quietly in my 14-17?
Season averages since 2014: 35.9 / 38.8 / 39 / 35.8 / 43.1 / 39.1 / 33.3
Priced at 33.3. Possible uplift in order of 15 points. Uplift will come from:
1: Goals: +7. [Last year 0. SJ averaged 7.5pts. The 43.4 average in 2018 was the only year he kicked goals regularly and averaged around 5.6 per game for season but 6.5pts for the games he kicked goals.]
2: Kick Metres: + 7. [Last year SJ averaged 300km. Moylan has averaged around 60km playing 5/8. So, that's 240km to be taken between Townsend and Moylan - ie 12 points up for grabs. Assume Townsend gets roughly half.]
3: Other: +2. [Last year he was around 3.5 below his average for non kick related stats, and was the only time he did not average 80mins - he averaged 75.8]
Same price as Lam (who I also have).
[I have $169k to spare that is a good reserve to fix team after this week. Or I could use that to "upgrade" Townsend to Turpin / Capewell.]
Just hoping SJ stays away for 2 months should be well underpriced if so

Just to clarify cos I've seen this a lot re:Ponga so far. Reports aren't that he's out 4-6 weeks but that he'll return in round 4-6.
So could actually only be three weeks worth of Hoy. I know one week doesn't make all the difference and the kid has mad skills so do what you will, just wanted to ensure peeps were in the know.

If you want stats on Townsend, in 2018 he played most of the season as goalkicking halfback with Moylan as his halves partner.
Averaged 44 in 19 games.
Getting 44 for the price of 33 is not bad, and I was definitely considering him. But like Brooks he had to miss out as I thought Lam and Milf were better value.
