I also want to exercise much more patience this season. If players are getting the role (not necessarily scores) that I want, they stay, unless missing an amazing opportunity elsewhere.

Welch... mr reliable, nice guy. May get a few more minutes due to injuries to team mates, but no guarantees with Bellamy. Don't expect sudden gun status.
Extra minutes for rookie bench players.
I don't see too much upside.

I think last season was first time I didn't use 2 trades after Rd 1. Maybe 1 Tetevano out iirc

I'm going Croker and Moylan at this stage. More gut feeling than anything else

Need some help with my team lads and where/if to spend my extra dosh. For me, I don't really care as much about overall points but rather h2h matchups (in a pretty competitive league with mates) so keep that in mind. Also chose to drop Bird and just start Averillo instead to free up some cash. Team seems to be fairly cookie cutter but just feel like there are a few potential upgrades yet. Any help is appreciated fellas  Beating Heart

Need some context to narrow it down - does cover for certain positions matter?

In isolation, I’d probs go SST/Munster + Gos but there’s too much unknown.

    Croker and Moylan

I don’t like going for bench middles with uncertain roles.

Anyone else thinking Croker is going to really struggle against the Roosters forwards? Can see him having lots of missed tackles.

If you are expecting Crichton to be a better captain than Cleary, do you need him in your team to start the season? Could do a lot of upgrades with that cash

Yes.. can see him struggling in every game until he gets dropped, not a hooker and for the life of me can’t believe manly haven’t made it a focus to grab one

I see them both as elite guns so may aswell start with them right? I was thinking maybe an upgrade to like Lodge/Host but just not sure who to grab. Thoughts?

DPPs can really make a big difference in your team. I currently have 6 of them. Allows me to have at least 2 spare players in every position.

I'm not against him but at this stage he misses the cut for the cheaper alternative, Averillo. Just gave me a few more dollars to 'bolster' the 18-21. I figured its a coin toss between the two for scoring.

2nd CTR, position 17 (sitili), and position 20 (ctr/wfb) and 21 (need a mid) on my roster are basically the spots i'm juggling options. The other 17 spots are pretty much locked in.. i think.

    Sort of comes down to

2nd CTR - Averillo/Momo/whoever else (opacic?). I dont really care who.
17 - Sitili.. or someone else around that price point
20 - Reimus/Niu .. dont know if there was another option, needs to cover ctr tho
21 - Fui??/Leniu/another 300k ish mid/Stefano. If Fui he *may* be a playable 17 guy, but also proably a trap.

maybe worrying about coverage in every position is not really worth it given early trades will change things up anyway.

Hey MTB, nice evaluation of the cheapie options for reserves.
What are your thoughts on Moylan as W/FB cover instead of Averillo (who's been in my draft from the start, but now looks like missing out).
