No fancy stats, just looked underdone to me in the trial, and not convinced he gets the starting role/minutes when Haas is back. Mulvy 2019 learning's notes say not to look a gift horse in the mouth - don't overlook a cheapie with previous fantasy pedigree. Put him in NPRs if you have to. (I was referring to Bird at the time)

    Does Lodge qualify?
I just don’t see any better options personally at around that price that’s all! I have both Lodge and Hetherington currently.

He looked solid to me in the trial. TPJ will probs get himself suspended by the time Haas is back so Lodge could keep up some solid minutes.....

But oh well you’re an elite fantasy gun so you’re probs right and I’m wrong lol!

Just out of curiosity, in Supercoach Cody Walker and Munster are supreme at 5/8, but they don’t seem all that important in Fantasy. Do people expect Cody (playing both sides) or Munster (no Cam Smith) to dramatically increase their average?

On another note I’m not on the Tino train, I’m on Welch who I see a bit more upside in, but that’s just me!

Not keen on Lodge? He’s been in most of my drafts. I think he’s worth the punt and he’s cheap.
What are you going to do with Lodge if he is benched for Week 4? How much money do you think he has made by then?

I think you pick lodge if you believe he keeps the starting spot.

If he does get benched well then it probably wasnt a good pick anyway, his form must have been poor

If I had to pick one of Welch, NAS and BS9 to benefit from the Storm news I agree it would be Welch. I think all three are risky though, all will benefit slightly, not sure if it's enough to pick them. Could easily be wrong. I picked BS9 in draft thinking this could potentially happen at some stage and also HG9 could be rested in rd 20 where yours truly is a dead cert to be finalist Very Happy

I'm on the Tino train. His perceived role is more long term than the Storm guys. If my perceptions are wrong however, will need to cut him promptly.

Great work! I think this just highlights the going cheap in HOK is the way to go. The money saved on Cook, for instance, gets you a gun half or FB where there really is very little quality! Three cheap hookers in J Brailley, Liddle, and Watson look automatic choices. How many hookers are people going to have in their 21?

Er... six maybe seven. Partying like it's 2019.

(Api or Macca, Watson, BSmith, JBrailey, Croker, Liddle, maybe Hodgson)

Remember how many trades were wasted on centre last year? $150k per centre trade adds up to lots. So if you said to me, Mulvy, I'm picking Cotric because he's got good job security and a lack of injury history and I couldn't be arsed wasting all that money and trades in the wasteland centre position and I've got a good gut feeling about the guy, I'd buy it 100%.  The whole if you take a and minus b and times it by c analysis is where you lose me and dare I say everyone else. Like all your other sub gun PODs, if they all pay off, you'll be killing it. Good luck with that.
This is a fairly big contributor as to why I'm considering him, one of my better years was one that I picked Croker and saved myself ever having to trade him out because I'm shite and I have enough problems in my team, one less is super valuable. The other reason is just because I hate picking guys who score well but I don't enjoy watching, so this year I've gone the other direction to start from the point of whether I enjoy watching them first.

Don’t know, there is a risk with lots of picks! He may perform well enough to keep a starting spot or TPJ or another middle forward may get injured etc....

I could’ve went with Koala but of course Bennett hates fantasy so...... as I said for mine there is limited options! I wanted Ah Mau initially too but I feel he’s now riskier than Lodge....

What better options are there around Lodge’s price? I’m not seeing any tbh.

Sort of surprised by the interest in Welch. Ive always liked him as a player but i thought his bigger min games came when their bench was made up of vete/lewis/schronig/nuffies (havent done any research at all tbh)

Obvs they have a couple of injuries there at the moment but theyre pretty short term

Spose I would have been surprised if you'd said she frequently leans over your shoulder while your working on your team and excitedly talks about the decisions you're making.

Wow! Haas and Thompson to come back in Rd 4 and 5 respectively. I can understand 1 but not both. That seems extremely brave /stupid to me. Good luck! The only one of your list I am missing is Turpin and I’m not playing either of Hetherington or Lodge.
