Whilst you should never just plop a replacement player in same score bracket as their predecessor, I think Lam has all the tools to match the scoring we seen from Flanno minus the GK.

Top class team still, and FLannos 11 TAs are not hard to replicate, Lams tackle number are quality like Flannos. KM will be the crux but Keary has never dominated that so I'm expecting Lam to at least match the 250km a game

Throw in Kearys fairly hefty injury history and Lam is a pretty safe middie with GUN potential for me. I think 45-48 without too much fuss

I’ll probs have him I’m just trialling a team without him, so many options but can’t have them all lol

Depends what you mean by genuine gun. Is Difita included? Munster? Papi?

Of the absolute top tier guns, I reckon most will be running with at least three and maybe four of Cleary, Cook, Ted and Crichton.

And the thing is Lam has a great running game and can break a game open unlike Flano really can. Would expect some good attacking stats from him

I don’t have Cook or Teddy currently but that may change.

I've just been listening to the Scope (Justin Horo) and Denan Kemp previewing the nrl season in a podcast on YKTR's youtube channel and found some very relevant and reliable fantasy info for us lads. The scope who lives with Corey Norman, said that the mail he's getting from Normy is that Jack Bird will most likely play as a ball playing lock this season. Now obviously nothing is set in stone, but this is probably the most reliable info we can access as he literally lives with Norman. I'll add the link below - the bird lock talk is at the 52 minute mark for your reference.

Not sure you can factor that in mate, Tino for his bigger role

Fifita for his higher than advertised 80 minute average

All good. Fog should at least maintain, be good as a Fifi/Tino stack and additional GK

Having 4 Titans feels risky, but each player on his merits appeals.

Yea as stated mate there are some clear tiers last 2 years in some positions.

Papy absolutely in WFB, Teddy, then Ponga then another tier i'd class as guns in WFB like Papy, Turbo, Edwards, Nofo, Brimson, RTS not sure on Guth

With no McInnes this makes sense eventually. I think Bird starts at CTR but once he’s got his confidence back they probabty blood whichever M Feagai they’re keen on and shift Bird into a middle role. The game is getting stupid fast, you need that kind of player in the middle again.

I think it's just that Lane and Matterson have swapped sides. Though he may have played some time in the middle.

Getting confused with Eels middle rotation now with the talk of Paulo 80 and Lane moving to middle

Are you considering BSmith over Tino at same sort of price?

No not really, I hope Tino can become a keeper. BSmith may not stay at keeper scores once Grant returns. Even so , BSmith may just continue his scores at lock/fwd

Tino is some I've see-sawed over most the pre season. I'll probably start with him or Smith

Hetherington could see 50ish mins at prop. I think he’s priced at 23 or 24.

    I am tempted.

    Yep, currently in 18-21.

Anybody think that Matterson playing on the left really affects his scores significantly? He always defended fairly close to the middle anyway and he still running off Moses in attack.

are Niu and Brooks considered must haves or sum? Personally considering Niu because if I'm gonna pick a NPR back that will score 25-30 I'll get the guy in 30% of teams to be safe but Brooks... I mean I can't think of anything worse than watching a footy match and hoping Brooks plays well, he could average 75 and I'd still pass

The Brooks sentiment I can get down with.

Matterson isnt affected at all really but everyone likes Crichtons and D. Fifita for a value pick. But honestly I dont think there is much difference between Crichton and Matterson, in fact in many ways they are basically the same, with stats being so incrediblt similar between the two guys.

Matterson has some positives in he is slightly cheaper, plays on the side with their primary playmaker, less likely to be moved during games, less likely to be rested whole games or partial, plays Round 13, less likely to play origin (Fitler doesnt like him). While Crichton plays for the better side.

I’d pick Tino if I thought he could average 54-55 and become a keeper but I don’t think that will happen. He’s priced at 43 and I see him averaging around 49 so it’s a no from me.
