I feel he will take a bit of time to get the confidence back and will only average around 30 (for a good part of the season). See Marsters as better value if he starts and you only want to spend that much.
Bird said it himself that he was nervous and he is no-way near the same player as he was before injury. Will take some time.

Yeah fair enough. If I were to drop Bird, I would probably just get another WFB and move Hopoate back to centre, though I'm not sure exactly who I want.

Bird will be starting centre and don't see him moving from there.

    Doueihi (50 - priced at 40 - plays R13) Tedesco (65 average - priced 65) Mitchell 45+ priced 37)

    Murdoch-Masillia (40 average - priced 30), Davey (40 average - priced 27), Riki (40 average - priced 27 - plays R13), Liddle (50 average - priced 23 - plays R13)

    Croker (40 average - priced 23), Averillo (35+ average - priced 23), Niu (30 average - priced 20), Simpkins (the world is your oyster - priced 17)

There's a few ambitious assumptions there. If only it was that easy to get players 15 points under-priced.

Just as a general statement, I'm sure bathrooms are slippery even if you're a pro athlete

John Simon almost lost a toe slipping in post-match shower back in his Steelers days. Sliced his foot on a tile.

By replacing Turbo in my WFB 3rd position with Hoy, I agree it's taking a risk that Ponga will return early, I can shift Grant to Cook and end up with all of Cook / Angus / DFifi/ Cleary / Teddy in my team.
And still retain $187k ITB ??
    How is this possible. affraid

I have all of the above in my team with 225k spare... Don't ask, I'm ashamed to answer

Any of them done a hammy in the bathroom after racing fans around town the night before?

anyone think Ofahengaue will get 50+ mins?

He's quite a good pick if he does, and even with mid 40s minutes he can average in the 40s, priced at 31

I'm a big fan of the peach but someone on the previous page saying he'll be averaging 5-10 points more than last season? Would love to see it but one might say that's a tad unrealistic.

Harper has the potential to be a gun fullback. Would have him in my team for sure at center.

You were obsessed with him last season when he put two good scores together.

    It's only 3-4 games though.

For me, this injury has just delayed me getting Turbo by about one month.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him get Aloiai's ~50 minutes from last season. Not sure he'll go 50+ consistently. 40-50 minute average is 40, so 9 points under in that case. At starting prop it drops to 37. Definitely on my watchlist, but not sure there's quite enough there.

Yep whichever of my WFB cows fails will be gone for Turbo once he is fit*

This does put Hoy under serious considerations

I think it's at a point with Turbo that you can't say it's only 3-4 games. Really have to worry about his long term prospects

I don't really like picking Hoy with his known end date as a starter. But I also currently have Moylan there at a similar price, and that's gross.

If the Broncos could just put my interests ahead of theirs and pick Oates ahead of Riki indefinitely, that would do nicely.

Eh, its the other hammy and if it's 6-7 weeks out he's less likely to reinjure than the grade 1 where they try and rush back after 1-2 weeks all the time*

*this is based on my expert opinion from reading NRL physio FB posts last season.

I was actually just thinking this regarding Hoy. Last Ponga update was missing 1st 4 weeks, possibly 5. Would fit in nicely with Turbo coming back. But this is prob more wishful thinking than anything.

Was thinking how this year is a little odd for Oates to actually make the move to forwards when our outside back quality is at an all time low.

Hes had a couple of poor seasons but i still think our side looks better if Oates was named on the wing.

Yeah I agree with this too. I mean I can see how a shift to the forwards might work for him later in his career, but I'd say he's currently in your clubs top 2 wingers, so why now?
