I actually can't find the info about Fog swapping sides, I can't recall where I read it. It was in late January..

This article seems to confirm that Taylor is on the left still though - https://www.titans.com.au/news/2021/01/21/left-edge-nearly-right-to-go-says-kelly/

Will keep an eye on the trial but a second half priced at 50 probably doesn't fit my team make up. He'd have to be #1 if I was to run it.

    EDIT i think i've been SCAMMED !!!

Titans halves look set to switch sides in 2021 with Fogarty training on left side next to Proctor and Taylor on right side with Fifita

I am sure they did train like this.. but probably for the mere fact to test it out… You have been wacked by wacko

Yeah there's loads of media where they see Blayke as their long-term hooker. I think with the faster game there is a legitimate trend emerging of having a smaller, more mobile 3rd middle - McInnes, Tevaga, Watson, Peachey etc. Sharks have some aging plodders (Woods, Tolman, Fifita) so McInnes signing to play lock for them makes sense for the club. Also makes sense for McInnes, as despite his fantasy god status, there is a belief he doesn't offer enough in attack from dummy half.

EDIT: I missed the most successful small middies - Yeo (not that small but was an edge/CTR and has some ball skills), Cheese, Radley
    Murray too.

Thinking of running Cleary and Fog in the halves with a cheap half like Lam or thereabouts on the bench for back up/origin…

....a mate who started with him one year told me this

    Was it me? Very Happy

Looks like Sharks and Dragons will swap McInnes and Magoulias so McCullough can be a Dragon this week.

Could still be a positive? Play harder for more points in less minutes, less missed tackles and more energy? Will still probably be one of the top scorers and non origin too.

I also see this as more of a Lolo will probably play around 50-60 instead of 60-70 or 40-50.

That changes things a lot! Means tonnes of middle minutes up for grabs. They must really rate Magoulias.
Sharks have so many quality middles already. Hard to see who misses out. Their middles are going to be something like:
    Starting - Woods, Tolman, McInnes
Bench - Fifita, Rudolf, Hamlin Uele
Missing out - Williams, Hunt, Talakai

Between this and the Taumalolo news, time for a rethink.

McInnes as I’ve said if he’s playing lock at Sharks only I think he plays 60ish mins maybe 65mins. Big question is does Brailey play 60mins and McInnes spells him?

Hopefully the Sharks him at what they’ll do 1-2 weeks out from the season.

Taumalolo has played between 50-60mins 26 times in the last 4 years for an avg of 51 points per game.

If the Cows get some injuries in games he may play longer mins in a few games but it’s hard to see him having an avg of more than around 55-56 so with him being priced at 62 I think he could lose around 100k.

I do not think I’ll start with him.

personally think there's still an argument for him being the most viable middle - there were 6 60+ avg middles last year and out of those Haas Carrigan and Lolo will be on less minutes, McInnes is at a different position at a new club, then there's also Harris and Crichton in the mix too but better value as an edge

realistically I think most of these guys drop back to the pack somewhat with Yeo, Jurbo, Murray, Brown in the mid-high 50s range so Lolo isn't an inherently bad pick imo, you're not paying massive overs for him

FWIW at this stage I'll be starting with Crichton and Lolo in my side out of those guys I mentioned

Really interesting to see who picks up the big minutes in the middle at the Dragons.

Starting - Vaughan, Kerr, Lawrie (lock)
Bench - Between Merrin, Alvaro, Faamusili and Magoulias

Kerr has never stepped up to play big minutes, even when starting has never played more than 41 minutes.

Vaughan averaged 51 minutes last season already, so my pick would be Lawrie at lock to be the key benefactor of bigger minutes.

Also locks McCullough into an expected 80 minute hooker role.

Unrelated to your post but wondering with your R13 heavy strategy are you not looking at starting with Matterson

Not sure if this is the reason why, but of all the players who missed origin last year, Matterson is one of the most likely to break into the team

Looking for value as well. He will be fully priced already. Want this season's Matterson, not last season's.
Can buy him in R13 if he misses Origin likely at the same price or less.

Let’s be clear - nobody rates Magoulias.

If any of this is true, I would guess to get McInnes this season Sharks needed to create a little cap and roster space.

Gee that looks terrible, I keep thinking you must be forgetting a player or two. But nope.

EDIT: Bird at 13, or big middle mins off the bench?
