I can understand it but kinda disagree with it 

The game has evolved so props and locks are pretty similar for most teams as battering rams (with only few clubs using locks as link players) so it would make more sense for it to be middle and edge designation but would never happen in fantasy

Yeah for real. The game has to add in some sort of point system for amazing plays like that which heavily affect the game but don't fall under a particular stat category.

Pretty sure there's a stat for a try creation which DCE would've got for that which fantasy doesn't use.
No way in hell I'd want it included either because it would just be another contentious stat for everyone to complain about.
