As it stands now, I will have 17 players thanks to Randall being named, but that means my WFB is trash for the 2nd week in a row, with Ponga replacing Teddy as the one good WFB I have left.

Which one of the following guys should I captain?

    * Cleary: The safest pick, and has a good matchup, but I'm very hesitant to do it as he's just had a big score, half the forward pack is getting rested and they have to fly up to Townsville on game day, which leads me to believe this will be one of the weeks Cleary only gets 55 instead of the 80+ that I want.

    * Ponga: Has a great matchup, coming off a rest, but we've seen how low his floor is, and Ponga does have games where he gets a bit lazy, so that's a big risk.

    * Wighton: He's been on a run of doubles in the last few weeks, and is up against a Warriors team with nothing to play for while his team is fighting for the top four, but if he doesn't get tries, he doesn't usually get over 50, and as we saw against Brisbane, even a good matchup doesn't mean that he'll necessarily score well. He is definitely a risky captain, but is the biggest "POD Captain" and he is the main point of attack for the Raiders.

At the moment I'm leaning Wighton because I feel my team is heavily outgunned by most of the others on here, and POD captains are fun, but I'm not entirely sure.

This logic makes no sense, he's averaging 70+ because he keeps getting big scores

He is, but I feel like the travel and the fact that half the pack is resting will keep him from going really big.

Also, he will be a very popular pick for captain and I feel like my team is too heavily outmatched to just go with the herd.

900 kicking meters again would be a decent start.

Id say the Broncos are zero chance of forcing the eels to kick that many times from inside their own half.

But if moses decides to take the line on he could go huge

Bayley Sironen to join Curtis over at Manly is on the cards.

    Talk deal is nearly done.

I've wanked up my bench for the first time ever. So it's got red dots 1-4, and green dots 5-8. Plus I have another 3 players in the last Sunday game. Even if I have a shit round and go backwards, the illusion of charging home on Sunday afternoon will be satisfying.

That potential covers Thompson I guess if true, and Waddell is only a bench forward (which must be the appeal to the Dogs, they love a fringe 2RF). They won't replace AFB immediately but must have a lot of faith in Paseka.

Looking at moses he only has 1 score above 67 this year. Shocked pale

I've done something similar to allow for the 'what if' scenarios of reversing trades (or in this case trade) and switching positions but 19 times out of 20 I end up doing fuck all, because I either forget & miss a deadline or had it set up the way that worked anyway Very Happy

So glad they have gone back to the 2pm and 4pm Sunday time slots for the last two games.

Next week I should have a player in every game, barring injury or rests.

And that was against the Titans where he got a try, 9 goals, and his most run metres and offloads for the season.

Remarkably, he's hit 67 three times though, 65 twice, and 62 twice. Pretty clear ceiling, but talk about consistency!

He's one I'm seriously considering in for Haas over the likes of Bateman or Cook.

I am up against “American in Portugal” this week in the preliminary final and it is pretty evenly matched. He can only field 16 with no trades.

My blokes will be running out like this

    CS9
    Twal Carrigan
    Fifita Matterson Bateman
    Cleary DCE
    Lomax Crichton
    Cotric Ponga Tedesco(Loop)

    Lucy Moses Randall Tino
    Papy Hamiso Herbie Koro

QUICK QUESTION for those that know:
If this is the second last round of the year and there are still 8 teams left in the league then next week (last round) there will be 4 teams left, how will a winner be crowned?

I have 1 trade left and will be using it to field 17. It should make for a pretty even match up. Good luck, mate.

Ok, annoying post time. Lets say AFB is out. I can afford anyone up to 650k. Who would you pick, and why? Position is irrelevant this week..

I think Ive ruled out Papalii and JFH just because they may get reduced workload over the last two rounds

I want you to convince me!!

Im tempted by both of those.

Gutho also a contender. As well as Munster (resting risk), Twal (mins?.. boring player), tommy T (fitness?).

Theres even Friend who scored 74 last week.

Manu a cheap option but could go big this week at fb and be a loop option in round 20 at centre

The Rein Train has been going alright recently with 3 straight 50s or Friend. Both similar circumstances with bench HOK but posting big scores recently

Guth not really a consideration with ya last trade/s surely?

Only gone over 50 three times since that banner.
    Averaging 41 in that time.
