I’m just hoping I can hang on to a top 300 finish, sitting 292 right now overall.

Stoked with my season best I have ever gone.

Thinking out loud in regards to resting/trades

Anyone in a team that can't really change ladder positions is a resting candidate this week - Cleary, Teddy, Cook, Murray, Koroisau the main contenders that are in my squad.

Cook/Murray probably least likely as Souths will want a "home" final for week 1, but outside chance there. I'm almost certain that Koroisau won't play this week with an outside chance on the other two.

Anyone that gets a rest this week it's safe to assume won't get a rest next week, making it pretty safe to not trade them out if I can field 17

Atm I'm looking at this squad with full strength with most likely to be rested in bold

    Cook
    Mofo, Carrigan
    McInnes, Murray, Matterson
    DCE, Cleary
    Croker, Farnworth
    Teddy, Papy, Ponga

    Koroisau, AFB, Moses, RTS

    Sironen, Fermor, Asi, Niu

Assuming just Koro and AFB are out they can be covered by Sironen and Fermor so any trade wouldn't have a huge marginal benefit. But if Fermor is out, or Cleary/Teddy gets a rest I'll be forced to make a trade rather than play Asi in the 17. Someone like Crichton that has already missed a chunk of games this year and is pretty fresh

Assuming that Koroisau and AFB will be back next week, this essentially gives me 2 "extra" players so I won't need to hold the remaining trade. I'm assuming next week will be pretty much all hands on deck with plenty of carnage, so any players "guaranteed" to play next week would be good

I was hoping to take out the Eels overall standings but there is a 140 point gap between my team and number 1. Not impossible, but his team looks pretty solid, so it's not likely.
At least it looks like I've got a good chance of making League 1 next season bounce

The RobDog Memorial Cash comp looks pretty much all sewn up even with 2 rounds left

    1st: MTB (17907)
    2nd: Dark Knight (17769)
    3rd: Soylent Green (17633)
    4th: Camo123 (17548)
    Weekly: MTB 1231 in R17

I could maybe scrape 3rd with 85 point deficit but it'd take a decent last 2 rounds for it to happen

The initiation process is pretty intense. Youll need to book a few days leave

Why didn't I enter this comp this year? I'd be sitting in 3rd with a chance of 2nd (and have the current highest weekly with 1240)

The guy winning overall is also a Titans fan, so I have no hope of winning the club league.
I'd be 2nd in Tigers, if only I supported them officially. Could be winning the Canberra league.

Currently you have to be in the top 100 to make L1 next year

Soop-A-starZ in overall rank 101 is currently the first team in L2.

Tough gig to get into, and those that make it every year are doing very well. I look to be getting back in after a couple of years out of it.

I think the cutoff for L1 this year was around 60th overall so it was even tougher

I'd be pretty happy if I finish in L2 range, had some shocking trades throughout the year

I was hoping to make a play for 2nd but this week was disappointing (despite having 19 fit players)

I wasn't aware that there was an initiation process for League 1, it makes sense though. I've been in the party leagues for years, not sure if I'm going to fit in with all the high rollers

That's me.  Hopefully my team is set up to squeeze my way in over the next 2 rounds although I finished 99th last year and still only made it into L2!

It's been quiet in here so I thought I'd take a look back at my rankings throughout the year.
Just goes to show even with a few bad beats along the way you can make up a lot of ground toward the end of the year if you keep a few trades up your sleeve and play the long game.

Bastard. Just needed Jazz to score 51 and your gone. When doesn't he score less than 51 without a sin bin??

With how I’m sitting right now I’d be in L3 next season and tbh I’m stoked with that.

I’m 36th right now in the FOG League.

Teeth Eater is 32nd and 25 points ahead of me, he currently has the last spot in L2. That is bloody good for a side he’s said hasn’t been going to well, he’s come from nowhere to get right up there!

      Current date/time is Fri Apr 19, 2024 3:55 pm
