Huge mate. Can't speak highly enough of sleeper. A bunch of us from here have used it to run our dynasty league for the last few years and it's just chalk and cheese compared to NFL Fantasy. Download it from your app store and have a play with it and if you ain't convinced let us know.

Glad to have you back on board mate! Hope all has been well.

Yeah 3rd place is better imo and it avoids the whole lack of promotion/relegation occuring as well. I think for two years I got away with staying in L1 because of it.

Yeah, I feel it's fairer for 3rd to be promoted. Will stay with the bottom two being relegated and just bump @Pacey's Best up into L1 if/when he pops his head in.

The built-in chat keeps leagues more active and lively, the app sends out player updates/alerts and stuff regularly, the app itself is infinitely easier to navigate and manage both as a member and a commissioner. It's basically just sleek and easy to use compared to the NFL app. Some people dont like the "kiddie" stuff like mascots in sleeper but they are pretty inoffensive really and are non-existent on the desktop app. The only other issue I've had is the entire platform imploded when Luck retired last year, though that was pretty understandable.

So did my dynasty team...Imagine drafting Luck, AB and Gurley only to lose one before the season started, another only played one game (and not even for the team he was on prior to the season starting) and the last bloke was akin to a lame horse!

I will be sorting out the league lists today and will be asking for people to put their hand up for commish spots. @Enchanted Glossy Flamingo will run L1 and either @Welshy or myself will run L2, will be looking for someone to handle L3 if we can fill it. If we can't we may collapse to two twelve man leagues but I'm sure we'll get some more returnees over the next few days so should be fine.

I am strongly against PPR (Points per reception) - which for anyone who doesnt know means ur player gets points for catching the ball. 'Yay well done little Tommy, now throw the ball back to Daddy!' Comprendo ?

No Kicker doesnt mean an extra spot somewhere ? 2 QB's would be a gud idea.

Regarding point 5, i have never used FAAB. If u run out of money how do u claim players throughout the season ?

    2. Is flex WR/RB/TE? I also don’t mind trying 2 QBs in a 10 team league, although it does stuff my usual strategy of not bothering until near last

    3. I like PPR 0.5

    5. I think I know how FAAB works but wouldn’t mind a run through. Last year the L3 default was reverse ladder which is infuriating - in the very least should be the more usual “most recent waiver pickup moves to last in the order”

I don’t want 2 QBs personally would rather extra flex spot but only WR/RB/TE

It also looks like L3 last year was mostly people running 2nd teams? Don’t mind playing 2 divisions of 12 or even 14 if that’s how the numbers work

I think it’s an interesting idea in a shallower league (10 or less teams) but never done it and no strong feelings about it.

    Happy with no kickers BTW

Hot take - do you even need the DEF position?

Superflex/2QB actually makes QBs as valuable as they are in real life, though less so in 10 man leagues. I don't really see the point of Kickers/Defenses tbh but I'm happy with whatever scoring system. 0.5PPR seems like a good balance?

I have never played PPR so can't really comment on it tbh but I'll play under whatever rules the masses decide. FAAB sounds interesting though, I like the look of the Sleeper app so far which is a good start. I'll probably still enter a regular NFL Fantasy team too, cuz some of my mates play on that platform anyway

Reverse ladder no good, most recent waiver wire pickup back to the end of the queue is good. Love a FAAB rundown though

FAAB is pretty straightforward, you get a budget (generally $100 for the year, but it doesn't matter) and you use that money to make waiver claims players. Bids are hidden from other players.

For example: if you bid $20 and someone else bids $15, you win the waiver claim when it processes and spend $20 from your budget while everyone else stays the same.

Some leagues allow for $0 bids, which is good imo

First class Mearcats! Thanks for getting the ball rolling. Clearly I'm in and keen (I'm enjoying the NFL offseason more than the NRL season at this rate...)

Very happy with all your rules proposed. The additional flex in place of the kicker is a good move.

I'm higher on full-PPR cause its the new standard, majority of research is geared towards it, and I still believe it evens the value between RBs and WRs (which in a world of RBs by committee, means that more teams can challenge if you miss out on one of the top 5 RB picks - even though none of that has worked for me....ever).

Of course, I'll run with consensus, which seems to be .5 PPR at this stage.

We'll need to start thinking draft days soon too - only 22/23 days to go right...

I’d prefer PPR as that’s what I’ve played in dynasty plus most articles etc. are geared around it. Makes it easier for newcomers.
