Robson was going to be my first traded this week, but the injury carnage has made me hold off on that (4 new red dots this week in my team, with 3 players also named on the bench). Good to hear that he could still potentially play 80 mins.

And if Cotter plays as a lock, then we can watch everyone melt down over Lolo's game time

I am looking at doing Luai/Starling and Young/Taupau. It means that I have to run with HTF in my back 3 and no cover which sucks but with the amount of trades I have left, I don't really have much option. Niu dying has really fucked me because I can't really spare the trade to do anything with him

Since I am concentrating on my H2H leagues the aim now is to build the bank to get in Teddy for the playoffs but it is possible that I won't get there.

I'd rather Tevaga for the extra 30k. Doesn't need big minutes to have those monster scores

    Yep, if money allows, 100%.

Lolo could easily play edge to keep him on the field for 80, or move to prop for a bit. Having both Cotter and Robson on the field at the same time will keep their opposition on their toes.

That would be as daft as sending Murray to the edge (oh wait)

I need a cheap centre this week otherwise I’m playing with 16 as Latrell is back next week.

Should I go Averillo or Asi?

Both have poor JS so don't really like either. I lean towards Asi because he's cheaper and should score better. If trades are tight though, you should really just consider copping a zero for the week.

Possibly not the best time to buy him but then again, should rack up some attacking stats (goals/TAs) this week

Obviously you shouldn't be buying him just for this week, and he's still one of the best overall options to get

Yes that could happen re CS9 getting an early shower but looking at the past he mostly comes off after the 70 minute mark when he has a rest.

I'm a little wary on Tevaga, would prefer to wait a week. Don't know if it can be assumed he's locked into the same role as late last year - if Egan is fit, does Lawton pay back row and Harris middle again? Different coach, might mean different plan on minutes which could affect scores.

It surprises me that there's this wariness about Hunt's role but none about Jazz.

For what it's worth I'm waiting a week on Tevaga with Ponga being my gun to come in this week. I can pretend it's because I want to view his role and minutes, but it's really because I don't have enough cash

EDIT: I didn't really answer the point of your post. Harris edge, Tevaga lock is much better for the team than Lawton edge, Harris middle. Lawton is a fringe first grader getting game time due to injury, the other 2 are rep quality players

12 Trades and 92K in the bank. Team before trades sits at:

    Grant
    Haas Carrigan
    Matterson Lucy Lolo
    DCE Cleary
    Lomax Crichton
    Ponga Papy HTF

    Young Butcher Luai Farnsworth
    Niu Angus Fermor Koro

I can field a 17 this week, with no confidence; however, I feel if I sit on this I could fall behind where others are trading Angus to the likes of Cook, Tevaga, Hunt, Bateman and either gaining ground or putting a gap on me.

I have the same trade in targets as others: Asi, Sironen, Hunt, Tevaga… I think out of those Sironen is a must have (>300K, starting 2RF and the best JS)

Not sure what to do with Niu/Fermor neither have made enough cash to warrant a cash out and I don’t want to trade Young/Luai because they are playable green dots and still with the opportunity to make more money.

Then there is Angus – already down to 3.9% ownership before the weekend. So hoping he is only out for about 2 weeks could be a massive POD putting up BIG scores for the run home.

Any advice/thoughts/trade plans would be much appreciated.

If you’re looking at cementing your spot in too 100, you’d have to think your most valuable asset is your number of trades. With the carnage that has happened, you’d have to expect that many players in the top 100/200 have traded heavily to be half time champions.

Player ownership counts for the top 1000 teams as they stand at the end of the previous round.

If your goal is remaining top 100, and you want to get some PODs to do that, then looking at total ownership is useless. Find/generate the ownership amongst the top 100 and use that.

More important than PODS, I'd be looking at getting Tedesco into your team. Or if that is too expensive, then at least a better WFB3 than HTF.

Angus+Butcher gives you Tedesco+Bayley Sironen plus a nice warchest to start upgrading Luai/Young in the coming weeks

    You are $5k short of Angus+Niu - Tedesco+Bayley
I think Niu is probably better as a permanent red dot but if you like any of the cheaper options you could bring one of them in for Niu and ride Butcher for a couple more weeks if you think he'll get the game time.

You have enough trades that you should be able to cash Bayley out again later rather than use him as a pure cash out.

Thanks mate. I like those ideas! I need 1 more WFB Gun (Teddy), 1 more FRF gun and if I trade Angus 1 more 2RF gun. I can traide Luai/Young/Lucy to the FRF gun and 2RF gun in the next couple weeks and then I would just need to solidify my 14-17.

    Thanks all mighty cow

Angus and Young to Tevaga and Kapow looks tempting to me. Young could be benched for all we know, if not this week then next. Allows you to put Carrigan on bench for FRF cover and means you don't have to play Farnworth who could easily go single digits this week.

I like it Smile will take into consideration. Thanks mate

This list was a sad reminder I dropped out of the top 1000 last week.

Of my 21, CS9 being the 2nd lowest ownership is pretty wild.

Just the one trade this week Field > B.Siro

    Grant
    Haas | Rudolf
    Yeo | Young | Lolo
    Cleary | Hunt
    Talau | S.Crichton
    Paps | Teddy | Ponga

    McCullough
    Carrigan
    B.Siro
    Starling

    Fog
    Angus +
    Koro +
    Niu +

Plan is to turn Fog + Young into Tevaga/Matto/DCE/Twal depending on funds and I'm probably going to be stuck with Rudolf.
