speaking of Everton, and rambling stories with no point

My family is from Liverpool so I go back a bit, and obviously try and get to Anfield when we can.

One year there weren't any Liverpool games on whilst we were there, so Dad and I went to see Everton play Sunderland, that one time Sunderland were any good - had Kevin Phillips scoring goals and were near the to of the premier league. Everton won 5-0 or something huge, but Dad as a big Liverpool fan wasn't that excited.

Phillips was awesome, didn't he go to Newcastle afterwards?

Another nice example, older fan, reason for lesser known team being supported etc... beautiful!

I started following Newcastle as a 7 year old because they had the same strip as the local club I was playing for in Bundy. Quit football by the age of 10 but have kept supporting the toons since. Moved away, came back to my hometown, my daughter has started playing for the same club - bought her a NU kit for her birthday last year.

always feel like the token Spurs fan in every group. Supported them since the 1981 FA Cup final (replay). Ricky Villa's winning goal looks like it was in slow motion compared to these days, but at the time it was enough to get me hooked...

Pretty sure mattnz was trading out guys like Lolo who were out for 1 week when everyone else was holding, so it's probably 'technically' true.

Eh, I'm probably a weirdo for even looking it up (despite hte fact it takes 30 seconds), but it irks me as a thing to even bother to lie about, when Milchy was just making a reasonable point about having red dots haha

Round 4 team has both Papy and JMK and the Round 5 team doesn't (two trade round)

I follow Liverpool because my soccer coach hated them, my dad thought it was funny kitting me out in Liverpool gear for training. My dad doesn't even like soccer, he just likes annoying people

yep, that's the cross i bear. While Liverpool fans are talking about the long wait between titles, its 59 years and counting for Spurs.

Ok have just checked, from round 2 onwards have made 2 discretionary trades, every other trade has been a red dot. Round 5 my only red dot after trading was Wiliame.

    Have had to trade out:
    Watkins
    Fifita
    Musgrove
    Wakeham
Staggs when suspended and needed center cover
Lolo (yes he was an uncertain red dot and had Cleary out as well). Allowed me to get Yeo, Twal, Capewell, Mofo which would have been a great haul except 2 have been injured since.
    Magoulias
    Walters
    Capewell
    Hopoate
    Twal
    Katoa

And still have 4 red dots in my team after that.

Hasn't it been confirmed by the club that Isaako will be out and Niu at FB?

Yeah - I don't think it's anything out of the ordinary. AFAIK Niu had been swapping into fb at training in weeks prior as well.

Exactly the reason I started supporting the toffees when I was 5! Laughing

    That's a good trivia question

    1979 Sunderland
    1980 ???
    1981 Villa

I still haven't traded Magoulias out so could easily get burnt like a few did this week. As far as I'm concerned he can sit and rot for the rest of the year

Is Paix -> Nui worth doing this week?

I know Nui can be a wait and see with his breakeven, but making the trade now should give me enough to target Katoa + Luai -> Cleary/Ponga + cheapie next week. Also gives me 17 for this week with Teddy out.

Then JTB -> Taupau the following.

Just cautious of being burned by another Broncos cow after Hopoate and Paix.

      Current date/time is Sat Apr 27, 2024 9:45 am
