Hayne at an annoying 500k+ though. Bloody failhub tax

I started this thing with Hayne. Shame my squad was so full of sun-sized fires that I couldn't hold onto him and live the dream when he debuted... in about round 25 the way it's looking at the moment... Wink

Thank you for the positive response. Without further adieu, let's get stuck in with Round 1:

So you thought JT's 125 points was good, well think again because in PODland it's worth nothing; The 6 proud owners of Mr Thurston earn nil pois for that one.

First up, who were the top 8 POD's, and the all important bottom 4:

    NRLFF 2006 Fantasy thread - Round 5+6, I love fullbacks - Page 10 Pod_ki10

Congratulations again Code Delta on being the sole owner Paul Whatuira's 106 points, a whopping 66 points over his priced value.

Sorry to re-open old wounds Filth and Quicksand, you were the unfortunate owners of the worst POD from Round 1, with Liam Fulton's season ending zero pointer netting you the first -5 of the championship.

    Haha Geyer yeah!

I've just realised that I can trade Dallas Johnson to Tongue instead of Steven Bell. It leaves me with less money but :pp: is pretty irresistible atm. Both Bell & Tongue are probably on par with their form but the tackle count superiority of Tongue & his dpp status pushes him over the line imo.

In truth I probably traded Bell in at his very peak, no way can he maintain current tryscoring form he needs to maintain a 52 average in the centre and he’s only doing that scoring tries so soon as that dries up he’s cooked! I don’t regret the trade but I probably should have looked it it a bit closer before committing.

I don’t like Tongue on the bench, lot of money to be tied up there, I’m going to look at another hooker to replace Smith this weekend I think along with my Tupou trade

Ben Jones is starting though & they don't seem to give him decent minutes so I can still see Tongue getting a good score.

I won’t be getting rid just would obviously rather him starting obviously

I’ve got a mini halves crisis with Cronk on bye and Ropati injured so no backup! I was going Lockyer but his BE is 64 so should still lose some cash

Bear with me please. So in the spread sheet are the prices in the R0 column the current players prices? If not where are the current player prices? And the overall changes in prices?
My better half has shown me some exel stuff tonight that will stop what happened for me last week happening again (a recently retired R.F.S. major logistical wonder).
    Yes, I'm a bit of a Luddite.

I use the "pred" tab and then sort by new price (which is their current price) and then just CTRL + F for each player

You can also use team tab and find your team and current prices are the far right value under R4 column

Yep, the Pred tab, for me, has all the info I need and would be the one I'd concentrate on too.

I mentioned it before, but if it runs slow on your computer it's not a bad idea to copy all the data from the Pred tab and 'Paste Special' onto a blank spreadsheet (paste as 'Values') so you can browse the data there. Because I'm a simpleton, I also like to either hide or delete the columns I don't frequent as much. Eg. You can customise the spreadsheet down to just the Player Name / Positions / BE / Avg / Current Price. Or whatever you like.

I will probably do the same trade, Johnson to Tongue. Gonna gamble that the bench start is short lived.

It gives me great sadness to let everyone know that round 5 is Andrew Price's last game in the NRL, ever.

A 4 year, 39 game career comes to an end. We would never have remembered him if not for this comp.

Any other injury updates wanted, let me know
