    TRAPine.

Injuries cost him a lot last year, but he still put up some stinking scores. If BJ is getting used as an impact player this year you would assume it’ll be on the side he is used to, could mean a change of role for tapine, who normally plays his minutes on that side.

So I guess you’ll be steering clear?

Anyone see any upside in Croft?

I don’t think I’ll take that risk but others might.

Taps will be in my maybe pile, Ive been burnt by him twice now, started so shit last year, lost heap of cash. My views are biased.

But there is plenty of upside for those willing to take a risk.

He is the kind of risk I am willing to take. Should get a much bigger role, without a Cam Smith holding him back. The Broncos have missed someone to lead them around the park the last few seasons, should be the man.

My initial draft team is looking too mainstream for my liking at the moment. Really hoping Watson gets 2RF/HLF or HOK/HLF while playing at lock, and Koroisau gets HOK/HLF again.

    Friend
    Haas (C) Tetavano
    Tapine Brown Williams
    Koroisau Watson
    Burns Smith
    Papenhuyzen Isaako Brimson

    Egan Brailey Sua Luai
    Wakeham Best Sailor Magoulias

Leaves me with $293k in the bank to play with early on. Doesn't look so good for first bye coverage either, with just 9 playing that round so far. Its weird that the first round bye coverage is almost all the same teams every year.

Is there a excel team sheet or are we way too early for that?

Trying to figure out whether you can fit Cook, Haas, Taumololo, Cleary and Ponga in a side.

Apart from the obvious middles like Murray last year and Papy this year I have been burnt bigtime in the past by loading up on too many mids. Want to go back to Guns and cows approach this year.

Liking Blayke Brailey, Ryan James, Zane Musgrove (should be in Tigers 17), Joe Stimson (surprised if Josh Jackson doesn't start at lock), Jack Williams, Kurt Mann this year.

I have started work on my excel sheet, but won't be putting anything out until we know prices.

Normally around now they start revealing prices team by team. We just need 1 official team release and we should be able to extrapolate for all the others from that

Will Musgrove be on minimum wage, anyone know his price?

He hasn't played since 2017, when he averaged almost 30.

Probably won't be minimum price but should be fairly cheap

Talau and Harper could yet be options.

Are people planning on having Bradman Best in their 17?

His few scores last year don't really excite. I know people are assuming he'll move from the wing to centre. But are people actually expecting good scores from him or are they just chucking him in because he's cheap

Speaking of centres, I'll be looking closely at Braidon Burns again. Averaged 44 in the games he didn't get injured, and that is with only 1 try.
Should get a small discount for only playing 9 games. I think he's the best bet at getting a discount on premium CTR scores (assuming we don't get access to any forwards like Bateman/Nikora/Capewell again)

I just chucked him in the team because he's cheap.
It's highly likely that Burns will be in my starting 17. I'm not sure who my 2nd CTR will be, I'm sure a cheap option other than Best will pop up before rd 1 kicks off

I tell you what, when I had Burns I watched him closely and I was in love! He reminds me of Inglis with his lengthy strides and long arms. Rabbitohs left edge really made use of getting him early ball too. Can break a tackle and has speed to burn...s. He will be in all my team compilations this year. Just really hope the extended time off has got his hamstring and ankle good to go.

This is my main concern, will he get injured again. Hopefully not.

He'll be a very popular selection by the time round 1 kicks off I think.
