I personally think $300k is too much to pay if you are looking to combine a cash out with a round 16 boost. The only way I'd go to that figure is if I was pretty sure I was getting 50 points for round 16 and I didnt need the extra $50k or so. I'd be highly surprised if there is anyone who docent need that $50k at this stage to be honest.

And the injury thing? I would never use that as a reason to get someone, perhaps the only additional advantage of Robson in that sense might be as a handcuff if you already own CM9.

For me its a no, there will be better cheaper options that come out in the next two weeks and so far if you had to pull the trigger now for me it would be Carrigan mostly due to his price, but you'd assume he probably has 30 points or so in him for round 16.

Hey, I know a cashout who will probably be under 300k by Rnd 16, will score 52 in that round and cover EMG centre for the run-in guaranteed in his club's 17 while possibly playing 80 as a forward if there's an injury in the pack. Also he's incredibly handsome.

Right so this week its looking like.

    Tolman > CS9
    Young > Finucane
    Dearden > Watson

No trades in RD15, and then in RD 16 ill see what i can do with Havili, Whitbread and Sivo.

Will leave me 6 trades for the run home and hope it pans out.

I’m sorry I’m with the welsh dog. Robson seems to be playing a middle role off the bench and shifts in at hooker when CM9 is out of position. Seems to be getting 35-45 minutes and I am confident he keeps that role with the amount of forwards out over the next 5 weeks. I do not like any of the other options. Especially a broncos bench forward. Seibold said he will be rotating Flagler and carrigan a fair chunk in and out of the team to keep them fresh over the course of the season.

Good point, I should have added that as a negative on Robson, he's not particularly attractive Smile

Wasn't Robson only in cause Luci was late for training? Was he not outside the 21 before that? I wouldn't touch him either.

When you project out your team though, how is it looking at round 17 if you pay $290k for Robson. Thats my biggest issue. If I look at my team, but more realistically look at the Community team, paying up $50k for Robson right now would mean $50k spent less on the 18th man. The community team has had pretty good cash generation so IMO it would d only be a very small crop of teams where that $50k wont make a significant difference.

Beyond that, whether Robson plays 5 games or the rest of the season, really the only important one is 16 as he's not ever gonna be in your 17 right?

I guess if you have the trades to flick him at round 17 then the cash generation is important, but again, it would only be if you current cash generation is not good enough, in which case I revert back to point 1....

Anyway, I do see some appeal, Im just raising the bigger picture concern.

Nar Robson was always named at number 15. The Luci thing had nothing to do with him. Has been named on the bench the last 3 weeks (including this one) every time.

    Round 16 Likely Outs/Ins

Storm: Munster, Addo Carr, Chambers, F Kaufusi, (maybe Finucane).
Storm Likely Ins: Paps, Drinkwater, Olam, Sandor Earl, P Kaufusi, Stimson, Kamikaze, Big Tino

    Dragons: Vaughan, Frizell
Dragons Likely Ins: Leilua, Kerr, Timm, *JDB signing*?

    Roosters: Tedesco, Latrell, Cordner, Crichton
Roosters Likely Ins: BMoz, Ikuvalu, Faamausili, Verrills

Broncos: Oates, Gillett, Ofa, Fifita, Haas
Broncos Likely Ins: Kennar, Carrigan, Fensom, Su'A, Mago... Tagatease lol

Couple of other teams like Knights and Sharks have Ponga missing but we've already seen how those teams line up without them. Unlikely to be a new cash out there.

Not looking great but of course injuries can changes things quickly.

I got a good shout for anyone wanting to waste money. Since extending his time off the bench from 25.25 minutes to 43 minutes a game Braden Hamlin-Uele is averaging 46.25, plays R16 and could see an extended role in the starting side if Prior were to make the Origin side?? 491K though so would be a big gamble and probably wouldn't play him in your side every week.

The dragons team update said he was out of the 17. Norman's return pushed Field to the bench, Robson dropped out.

It was only on game day that Leilua was dropped and Robson came in.

I just don't like any of the cash out options this week and don't want Dearden sitting on my bench. My other 3 trades are JFH/Sivo/Tolman > CS9/Bateman/Watson but I am 22K short so need to move Dearden on to afford it

EDIT: Can move Arey on to SOS for a laugh instead of Dearden as my last trade. His stats in his game last year are actually pretty good: 287KM's, 27 TCK (1MT), 1Try. 28MG

Thanks for the break down. I think this was a good point plus the 60K saved is a huge help.

The only round 16 player left I would want is Smith and can get next week. With all the shit options, I'm 90% sold on just gettin Ted and putting the C on him. Should get a banner against the Dogs.

      Current date/time is Mon May 20, 2024 6:00 am
