I don't think TTurbo goes missing in games like RTS did last week. I doubt Turbo scores anything like a 15 tbh. The difference in price might sway me to RTS, though.

Tedesco scored 18 in round one, are you giving him a miss too?

It doesn't matter what player a or b scores in game 14 or 18 or 17. Total points in your 17 is all that counts so you want to estimate off what you think they will average from here on in.

    Last year, RTS averaged 44. His scores included a 14, a 19, a 20 and a 22.
This year he's averaging 47 including that 15.

He scored 3 tries all last season. He's already scored 4 in 2019.

TTurbo has made it through one game injury free this year.

Stuart confirmed Bateman will start the game but did not elaborate if he will play on the edge or in the number 13.

Bateman's return will have a flow on affect, with Joe Tapine's game time also to be affected as he continues his return from an ankle injury.

"Taps takes a little time to find his game energy and that'll be part of how I balance the team and the bench," Stuart said.

"The more games Joey plays the quicker back to match fitness, because he plays with a lot of energy and it takes him a month or so to get back into the swing of things."

With Jack Wighton away on Origin duty for the Blues, the performances of Sam Williams and the returning Aidan Sezer on Saturday likely determine who wears the number seven against the Wests Tigers in round 13.

Lomax and Lawrie turn into Bateman for me. Which 212k player makes it into my team?

    Kris, Sironen, Britt or Tracey?

Sounds to me like Tapine might come off the bench, but it could just as easily be Young.

Yeah, sounds like Bateman second row or lock with Young vice versa and Tapine off the bench.

Late mail: Raiders star John Bateman will make his return from a fractured eye socket after getting the all-clear from a specialist in Sydney on Friday. Raiders coach Ricky Stuart has confirmed he will start, and it’s expected he will slot into the centres with Nick Cotric (Origin), Joey Leilua (neck) and Jordan Rapana (knee) all missing from the backline. He’s likely to replace Sebastian Kris. Canberra are still missing six of their regular starting players through injury and Origin duty and have called Hudson Young and Corey Horsburgh into the starting pack. Aidan Sezer has been recalled to first grade to cover for Jack Wighton. The Bulldogs are only missing Dylan Napa to Origin duty, who has been replaced by Ofahiki Ogden. Adam Elliott has been named on the extended bench and is a chance to return to the starting squad.

Late mail claims Bateman will be in the C.

Sure he still plays well from there, but I think it will be safe to give him a pass this week with his high BE

Yep, not getting him this week. The 25k he'll drop will be handy for the final 18.

Look, I dont know what will happen, but the Dogs outside backs are garbage. Bateman would be better used in the forwards if you ask me.

In the back half of last year TTrbo scored 35 or fewer 5 times with a low of 18.

Would make more sense from a rehab perspective for him to play a less contact heavy position.

Looking at my trade options though, If i don't get bateman, i'm trading for another bye player who isn't a keeper. Makes the case for copping a potential loss on him a bit easier to swallow.

Might have to get him anyway.

The DT late mail says Bateman will start second row, Tapine lock, with Young moving to bench.

Bumping this one as its close.

Vote to either trade in Bateman this week or not.

    More Bateman

We look to just have enough cash generation to get us a gun 17 + 18th man whether or not Bateman is traded in this week.

I'm just wondering how Nikorima affects RTS, if at all. So much attack has gone through RTS this season but with Nikorima in the side does that change anything compared to a CHT? Obviously Nikorima's first game RTS scored a 59 but then followed it up with a 15. The 15 may have been an anomaly so I'd like to see how he goes next week before bringing him in I think.

Obviously we want Havili to start at hooker for 4 rounds, but its not a huge kick in the pants if its three. He'll still get you the round 12 score, and he'll still get you the bulk of that $150k you hoped he would make. Im not worried at this stage.

Absolutely love this post. Exactly my thoughts.
Kept the captaincy on my new recruit from last round Mitch Moses.
190 from 3(afb, taupau and Waddell). Think I've got 12 players. Fingers crossed for a big round!

Everyone talking about Bateman, but should i pull the trigger on Lomax - Havili

Was all set for Martin to Havili until last night's shenanigans. Will Havili score enough/make enough money to justify the trade?

Should be playable in my 17 more than lomax, which might come in very handy next week depending on who does/doesn't back up from origin

    I don't envy this decision.

If Lomax manages to stay at FB and average 37 (probably unlikely), he will still make another 100k in the next four games.

Agree Havili will be a more reliable player for your 17, as long as Hodgson stays injured.
