Bowen will definitely come in for Linnett I'd say, not sure where Morgan goes. Would be silly to split him and JT.

Yeah Trajan mate, I'm the same, at the moment have dumped Lichaa and sticking with Smith and Cook too.

Worth keeping an eye on, might make Opacic a possibility

Jack Bird had a minor sprain of his ankle during training last week as he continues his rehab from a shoulder reconstruction. Did set him back a week with recovery. Started contact training last week, usually 4-6wks after this return to play possible if he responds well (Rd4-6)

In mid January Kevin Proctor suffered 3 fractures to his throat after he copped a stray elbow during training. Has not affected his airways, won't have to retire like Rory Kostjasyn. Will be fit for Rd1 & will wait til post career to have surgery to correct his (raspy) voice

Anyone considering Fualalo over RFM if he starts at lock?

Not letting me post the link as I haven't been a member for at least seven days but reports are manly may sign Moses Suli

Moses Suli may be lucky with his third team in as many months.

It all depends on minutes and I have no idea how many each of them played in the trials. If you need to save 24k then it could be a good shout.

After reading the report on the possible rotation and benching of Croft, I’ve gone cold. He’s probably still worth it but I’ve fumbled around and come up with this.

    Smith (c)
    Latu Lodge
    Merrin McGuire Whitehead
    Cronk Nikorima
    Leilua Taka
    Ponga Dufty Katoa
    Cook Liu Cartwright (Nicholls/Whare/Thompson/Croker/Kennar)

I could downgrade Smith to Friend, and that would free up money to upgrade Nicholls to someone like RFM, or even introduce a POD like Terepo into reserves.

Same thought here, Croft to Townsend at the mo.

I agree mate & after round 1 when Mitchell scores 60+ & Aubusson scores 30 odd then they will all agree haha.

Then next week Mitchell gets a 12 and Aubbs gets his reliable 40.

I understand the appeal of Mitchell, he is talented and has potential to go big. Like Tedesco, he can come up with a 30 point play out of nothing. Certainly he is a player that can make you regret not having him.
He's just a little too hot and cold for my liking. If I'm taking a risk I think there are cheaper options to look at. If I'm spending premium money I want reliability.
Every chance Mitchell will be cheaper during the season after a poor game or 2, might be a nice upgrade target for one of my cows later in the season.

My thoughts completely about Mitchell. I know it would average out in the long run, but I prefer consistency.

I think B.smith will get a spot on the Storm bench.
For some reason I think that if the storm get a 12-14 point lead Cam Smith will get rested for the last 15-20 minutes and B.Smith will get game time - I Know, Crazy
    McCullough for me.

Surely if Croft is performing and doing his job, and beyond what is expected of him, they won't give him a spell just because. He has proved he belongs there, Jacks and Drinkwater are still too far behind him to get a spot

22.2% of people aren't too concerned about Croft being spelled.

Reported McCullough may not even start the season and if he does apparently he has some mental barriers around his game at the moment and a lot are expecting to see either Sam Thaiday or Todd Murphy rack up some minutes at the hook
