Kennar's b/e is 16 for round 1. They play the Warriors in round 1 so I think he's going to score 35+. I don't know how that equates to a dollar increase but I do know his b/e will be much lower in round 2.

Based on this, do you buy Kennar, ride the short wave of potential $$ increase until GIs playing future is more certain. Raise some dollars to bridge that gap in the mean time?

What's the verdict on Opacic this year? Not going to be around long. Really need to find another cheap centre.

Fantasy players are ever the optimists, and I think that is often their downfall.
I have no idea why Whitehead is suddenly down for playing 80 mins at lock just because he can play 80 in the second row- the effort involved in those tasks are incomparable. Even spending 60 at lock and 20 on the edge is too big an ask in the modern game (unless you are Mannering or Brown). Fensom had his 80 minute gig cut by Sticky in 2016, so i doubt he believes that it is a position you can put in solid defense for the whole game without slacking off. I think if Whitehead plays lock it will be for 60-70 mins max, but he might still have good value even in that stint since he no doubt under performed last year. But 80 mins is out of the question IMO.

And while I am ranting like a cranky old man, can we stop hoping Cook 'gets the 80 min gig.' He only played 80 mins once in 2017 (When Farah was injured after 7 mins) and is realistically going to play 65-70 mins at the absolute most and still have great value at that.

Anyone else think Farah will be lucky to make the 17 ? I know he'll get nominated on TLT but don't see them wasting a spot when they have Cook who can play the 80mins ?

That discussion the other day about a half pushing a coach to start with another player. The rumour is that A. Taylor wants AJ Brimson to start instead of Elgey.

This talk about Whitehead at lock has me excited. Straight in my team if he's named there as imo he'll work up his minutes and average 50 at the end of the season.

Thoughts on Dylan Edwards? I'm thinking of risking Tedesco as a captain option for the first month or so to spread my money across guys like graham jbrom whitehead merrin brown and tedesco.

Only real weakness aside from captaincy is playing croker in my starting team to have watson on my bench to cover Lichaa. Anyone else playing croker in their 17?

Woohooo a team with 0k left over

    Smith
    Gurgess, Lodge
    Murray, Arrow, RFM
    Croft, Watson
    Aubbs, Milne
    Cotric, Ponga, Dufty

    Lichaa, Cook, Mitchell, Liu

    Croker, Kikau/Garvey, Leilua, Katoa

Seems to have pretty decent coverage and a legit captains option

What's the reasoning in having a ctr in your playing reserves instead of a forward.

i went the same backrow as you. but im worried about arrow now with his broken ribs, could mean fewer minutes or even a cartwright start..

no real alternatives either at the 400k range unless you take a punt on elliot, pulu/paasi or mcqueen. otherwise he will have to turn him into a 600k player...

You'd assume as coverage for ctr/wfb, then promote someone from 17-21.

That was my thought as decent coverage for the WFB and CTR positions.
I suppose he could become NAS but then I have no cover for centre while Katoa covers WFB

    I arrow isn't 100% I guess he becomes Cartwright.

this was in the article with the team:

Peter Wallace, Josh Mansour and Reagan Campbell-Gillard have been added to the squad that beat the Roosters last weekend. Waqa Blake and Corey Harawira-Naera will also play their first minutes as they return from their respective shoulder reconstructions.

Kikau still a good chance to start and make some coin and hopefully cement the spot.
