That is a dilemma. I am looking at Cleary in/Munster to WFB via Cotric cash out. I dont think I'd do it if it cost me 2 trades but just my take on it.

Cleary's base stats and no more byes outweighs the inconsistency and potential upcoming team changes. But for some reason I'm hesitant.

Are you bringing Cam back in later out of interest?

Yeah I think I'll make no trades because yes I would want to get CS9 at round 20 & he's the no. 1 priority for my team. I'm very dubious on how Cody will perform but who knows he might surprise me.

I went Lamb to Cleary. Used a bit of my CS9 slush fund but will be able to get him back. Why hesitant on Cleary mate?

I think the uncertainty about where Carty plays. Should be second row but you never know. Even if Carty goes to halves Cleary should still average his price I guess, not that money losses are important now, it's all about max points.

Just realised I'm coming 1st in L7, probably has to do with the fact I have the least points scored against me by 450 odd :O

    Very lucky.

I'm not worried about Carty, but wasn't Cleary still gunning good scores last year when he and Carty were the halves pairing?

I think Carty will come back to second row with CHN to the bench.

With Graham out and limited trades, i'm wondering if I would be better going for a better 4th reserve with my Smith funds. At the moment Fui is my 4th res (with Moses and Semi as 18th/19th man), and that won't change if I upgrade either McInnes or Friend to Smith. However I could use those funds to upgrade Moses to DCE or Hunt in Rd19, giving me a better 17th man.

    I know, I know. Rule number 1

My draft league is the only one where I'm doing well and half of that league seems to have given up weeks ago.

    15-0-1 a good record though!

    Draft team:

    Friend
    Tolman, Tamou
    Crichton, ET, Proctor
    Johnson, Keary
    Maubusson, Fuimaono
    Hayne, Holmes, Suli

I'd be interested to know, does anyone have a list of the top 5-10 scorers each round?

Be interesting to see who really are the most consistent/best captain choices so far this year.

If Friend and McInnes keep up the good scores, it's not a crazy option.

    (a) Use 2 trades to get Cleary (Klokstad out, Whare in & Lamb out, Cleary in). If I got him I would play him over C. Walker & shift Munster to wfb or
    (b) be prudent, save the trades & just play C. Walker

    Current team:
    McInnes (B. Smith)
    Fifita, Wallace, N. Brown (Tualau)
Surgess, Gallen, Crichton, Taumalolo, Taupau, Elliot
    SJ, Munster (Lamb, Field)
    Croker, Fui (Mitchell, Kelly)
Edwards, RTS, C. Walker (Klokstad, Sami)

I see your dilemma mate, by the looks of it if you're upgrading Smith Jnr to CS9 you'll need to use 2 trades as cashouts to raise the funds. Another 2 to bring Cleary in and all of a sudden you only have 1 left. Unless you decide to run with the one gun hooker strategy, I'd be sitting tight for now if I was in the same situation.

How much cash do you have itb?

I'd be using no trades. Good call. 5 trades after you've got your final 17 sorted is fine.
5 trades and still needing to trade? Trouble.

I think I'm going to have 5 trades for the final 7 rounds which is probably about what I had originally planned however the trades have been stupid or necessary (sometimes both Crying or Very sad )
