Disaster of a weekend. Not sure how I am still in the top 5,000.

Thought I would get an edge in points bringing in Whitehead for Siro a week early.
Cost me about 20 points and a tonne of cash. Even MCK, sitting in my NPRs outscored Whiteahead.
    RTS's 20 points didn't help matters.

None of my players really performed except for Hess. Saved my round from complete embarrasment, though I still only scored 686 so 75% embarrasment (if I had any shame).

    Best:

    Hess - 80
    Smith - 54 (c)
    Johnson - 52
    Tedesco - 51
    McInnes - 48

    Worst

    Moga - 15
    Lamb - 17
    SiMat - 19
    Cotric - 19
    Talakai - 21

Yep pretty much the same and I played Lamb, Smat, Talakai. RTS getting bugger all didn't help either.

Lost a few hundred in rank and now at 2,300 or so.

I am so keen to rage trade.

Only shining light was that I had used only 1 trade to bring in slater, and it was a good trade.

If Hess keeps a starting spot then he's the buy of the season.

@Mulvy - Your league is ranked 3rd out of all of them, haha! And its done that despite having my crappy team in there too!

Good question. Played 42 min despite the Storm losing Welch early as well! I watched a bit of the game one thing I noticed from my untrained fantasy eye is that the Tigers went wide heaps with not that much up the middle. Base stats for the middle forwards seem lower as a result. Cam Smith for example, so presumably JBrom got hurt there too??

Also his attacking stats were pretty much non existent: 0TBs, 0OFs, and only 91m gained. Not sure why that was the case though!

Add to that 3MT and 1PC

Gonna make him dirt cheap in a couple more rounds though huh!!

Upgraded to 707 but my rank dropped to 1,385. None of my players really fired & most of my guns underperformed. Not having Vaughan or Hess & Fifita scoring sub 40 cost me.

Updated to 795, rank 218- down a cool 200 odd spots.
But this week is still a disaster- I traded Sironen for Capewell! Rip

Yup looks like teams that have any combination (3 or more players of McCullough, Vaughan, Hess, Gutho, Turbo and Teddy) are on fire to start the season.

Expected Vaughan like scores from Fifita but not happening, and only have Turbo from the above players. Time to bring in Slater I feel. Vaughan is killing me after talking him up in pre season!

Slater and CHN welcome to my team.

    780. Into the Top 1,000 for the first time after starting 18,000th week 1. Considering some of the absolutely shitful scores my boys had, I'm happy. This week's teams will be interesting regarding Hess, Ponga and the Panfers rookie. Some interesting trading coming up!

I only have Gutherson from those 6 but this week I'll have Vaughan & Hess when I rage trade very soon haha.

Hmmm...Slater for Talakai or Moga.  Hopefully my only trade this week.  Will sit on the Brailey situation for another week I think.  Seggy sucked.

    Really want Cody Walker though.

Anyone going to take a punt on JAC mentioned a few times he could explode to become a fantasy wing gun like Mansauce, Nofo and Rapa. Always looks for work and can bust tackles
