I've got nothing but love for the guy. Could be a POD but would be quite a risky one. I guess the scary part for a lot of people is that with Mansour/Rapa type players, you are relying on them going and looking for the ball AND then doing some individual play to rack up the points.

A guy like Teddy is a core part of his teams set plays. He will get the ball often with the aim of either putting him in a gap or in a position to set up another. In saying that you may even find Rapa has been more consistent in terms of his scores this year, so it could be purely psychological.

Edit: Worth mentioning with so few weeks left, it's not like you are gambling on someone staying consistent for the full season, If you've taken a look at the run in and decided a player will hit/continue some form for those last few weeks It could be a good call. It IS still a gamble though.

    It is a tough one and Rapana is a gamble.  Teddy does look more complete, Rapana just allowed me to do an ET upgrade also this week.  Looking at my team with Teddy my 17 at this stage looks like;

    Smith Friend
    Fifita Gallen
    Merrin Mannering Surgess Carty ET
    SJ Hunt Cleary
    Aitken BJ
    Teddy Munster Barba

18th men: Guth/Hurrell.  Might even throw the R on Guth over ET this week.  6 trades left and 7K.  Will do 2 next week to upgrade ET or even Guth to JDB/Graham or even Croker. Then 4 trades left to play with in the last 5 weeks.

I've always been a fan of Bromwich and up until a few weeks ago he was hitting over 50 every game easily with a few big ones thrown in there. Just what I want from my FRF. But lately it's gone down the gurgler. I'm pretty sure he played a full game too and I couldn't see where he went "wrong" as such. It's either him, Hunt or Cartwright at this point.

My 17 is otherwise set with Gutherson as 18th man. I just feel like Merrin is the difference between my average mid 900s and scores of 1000 (plus don't pick Gallen and Fifita ad captains on back to back weeks lol)

That's a tough choice between those 3. Hunt's in the worst form of the 3, but he's also fairly cheap, so it'd cost a bit to move him on. I actually like Bromwich ahead of Hunt, and maybe even with Cartwright. Merrin seems a good improvement regardless who you trade out.

Right so If you went Rapa over Teddy, who does that allow you to get in place of ET?

Would give me DeBelin, Parker, Harris, Brom, have about 455K I think.

Although I have 6 trades so I might go Teddy and then use the 2 trades next week and perhaps bring in Graham for ET.

Surely Damien Cook or Craig Garvey would be targets for them.

Hi everyone - first post, kind of late in the season I know sorry...

Does anyone know if any stats providers have the ability to show points scored in the context of per set rather than per minute? I'm hoping this would give a better indicator of a player's involvement but only recall seeing ppm as an option.

I am assuming what Cruise_Elroy was talking about earlier has been resolved... But in case it hasn't i have proof that it was clearly shifty. You see Chewy won.. Chewy is trash and shouldn't win. Clearly it is suss.

On an actual note the player in questions team hasn't been updated in the last two weeks. So he got busy, or got over it. Either way, hope everything is okay with him and we see him later on. No harm, no foul. Plus Elroy, doesn't matter if you make the Top 8 as I am. So not like you would win the finals anyway.

SJ been on a real consistent run, not getting a mention because everyone has him but hes outperforming other available halves by some margin.

not sure what happened with cartwright last week. didnt make too many offloads. im of the opinion it may be more of the same as the panthers are 8th vs the warriors 9th this weekend. who would you guys start with in cartwright vs cleary

Thanks mate. Been burning trades based on chasing averages so was thinking a trend graph of a player's points over the course of a game per set or even time-stamped per minute would be a more useful basis for guessing future possible scores.

NRLStats give a possession flow which you could use to sort of reverse engineer something if you know what times someone was on the field.

But for a more detailed  breakdown like you are after - they almost certainly have it, but only provide it to the paying users (ie NRL clubs) and its likely not something they are happy to give away for free.
