I figure when it's your bet you can have a go on whatever you want. Everyone who posts in this thread bets on all sorts of other stuff anyway.

This might sound strange but I make a decent wage on unheralded basketball.

I live bet the total points per quarter, so far I'm 11/11 when it comes to qtrs. With unibet they seem to always give too much line in the 3rd and 4th quarters. The teams are shit so the shooting goes to mud and the Unders have got up for me every time.

Saying that I will probably lose from here on out.

    Which event/location/country  HS ?

Dont u find the 4th qtr risky with timeouts and free throws going in ?

Looking at the draw there's not that many realistic scenarios where they won't have it by seasons end. They will however have to go to either of Manawatu, Taranaki, or Waikato to win the thing and taking the shield off the holder is never easily done.

Worth a bet though I reckon.

Not sure if anyone followed on this bet, but in case anyone did it has all gone exactly to plan and Canterbury now have the Shield. There is only one game now whereby the bet can come unstuck and it would take a pretty big upset, so, a smart better would hedge I reckon.

Currently you can get odds of about $8s to $10s on North Harbour.

I;m gonna make that hedge to ensure I break even at the least. I ended up putting my biggest bet of the season on this one, and then doubled up when the odds went out a bit after Canterbury lost vs Manawatu.

If anyone has a decent amount riding I would recommend a hedge as North Harbour are the best they have been for about a decade and do have a fighters chance on Friday.

Absolutely cleaned up on several bets over the weekend mainly in the AFL GF live betting. Using the $$$$ to go on an overseas holiday at the end of the year.

Bit of an out-there bet relative to what I usually post here but I reckon theres a bit of value.

TAB Game pack (first scorer/total/point start)

    take Wellington/Under 55.5/Manawatu +9.5 (@ $7) & Manawatu/Under 55.5/Manawatu +9.5 (@$6.5)

History usually has Manawatu playing well against Wellington, and there is rain around tonight so Under should come in.

I'll have my main bet on Manawatu +15.5 @ $1.55 form, weather and history all pointing in that direction.

Just heard an ad for the TAB that they are offering $3 for WINX to win by 2 lengths or more. There's only 2 other horses in the race and the jockey has already come out and said it's a joke and they wont be going easy.

It'll be a sit and sprint so I doubt she'll wind up no matter what he says. Ladbrokes paying even money for her up to $20.

Group races are all based on ratings. Drop below the rating 3 years in a row and the race drops a grade. The Caulfield stakes has had small fields for years but like this year will be the ratings were high because the horses winning it have been very high rating. I think it goes off the average rating of the place getters so even with He or She in BHB and Winx will bump up the rating.

Thinking of having a run 'ole goondiwindi grey like ?

Even with limitations, there are still possibilities for former group horses or one that has ran a place in a group/listed race and is now out of form to 'resume' or barrier trial for 4th. In saying that it isn't as much as i thought for 4th.

27k prizemoney for a barrier trial is pretty bloody good. Also a solid chance at a G1 placing, if I had a mare anywhere near that quality she'd be going around for residual value alone.

Canterbury won last night so the Shield bet wins, also Manawatu smashed Wellington, so that bet wins too.

Gonna have a punt on HB +9.5 tonight. Waikato have lost their way a bit after losing the Shield and the core of the HB team is actually pretty good despite them underperforming all year. I like the matchup so Ill be on this one.
