I downvoted that image, because the colour of the voting arrow needs to match Toovey's face

Every season I try to get in many first round bye players and it never works out. I'm not bothering to start with this season

That might evntually happen, but with Smith named at 14 and the make up of the bench, doesn't that signal Holbrook's intent to play Clark for no less than 65 minutes to start the season? I know that may change now with Brimson in doubt, but with the team as written and Smith not a hooker, good signs for Clark to start the season no?

Hard to get a read on Smith's role. Don't think it will be huge, seems to suggest he's there for coverage.

The Proctor comment is interesting, sounds like he wasn't originally going to make the 17.

"The bench spots… I wanted that explosive guy either side of half-time which is what Sam Lisone just beat Herman for. I’ve got to have Will Smith as the utility and then Kevin Proctor can play middle and edge which is the only reason J-Wal missed out.

"I originally had him in and then thought about KP’s coverage at back-row and middle and things like that, so it was a tough, tough decision and he just missed out.

Getting good voting numbers on community team.

Last bench spot is still very much up for grabs though, so come vote on the starting lineup

Wish I could see team lists for the next few week in advance.

I like the gamble. I am placing him in my NPR's and hoping he holds down the spot long term. I know Kevvy needs to win games and Gamble/Kelly failed last year. I also personally think Billy suits Reynolds game better and has the better long term prospects.

At 240K I will take the risk.

Ipap and Crichton do have DPP which could be handy.
Hey mate what are you thinking re hooker!

I’m stuck I’ve been through Mahoney, Grant, Cheese and Clark rotating.

I have a feeling that Proctor will spell Fifita, who will play 65 mins. Titans already have two mids, unsure how proctor fits into that middle rotation meaningfully. Is fifita best used as a 65min player than an 80 mins player? Would be interested to hear some insights

Tago is left side, outside Luai, correct? Should still go okay without Cleary, reduced team performance notwithstanding?

Another coin flip between Mahoney and Cook. Leaning Mahoney. Slightly less interest in B Smith just because he doesn't rack up tackles like the first two. Smith probably puts up a big score this week though.

I saw the same comments, could be interpreted two ways. Proctor is there as a MID, but in case of emergency can cover edge (giving him value over Walalce) or Proctor is there to play both mid and edge.

    What is your interpretation?

I think he's there more just as an emergency. If the first choice plan was to use Proctor on an edge regularly, then Jwal wouldnt have originally been in his 17.

Between their starting middle four, they will likely use all 8 subs, dont think any would be regular 80 min players.

Ipap doesn't play origin. That's what made my mind up.

Also, on Hudson Young. For what it's worth, I think he has the Edge spot locked down. I didn't pick him because there is too much value at Edge and I prefer to spend the funds elsewhere.

Hmmm, I could replace Ilias with him and keep the cash aside in case Walters doesn't work out, to switch back. Tempting.

I get RICKY concerns but RICKY also thinks Hudson Young is an origin player in the making. Anyway, not trying to convince anyone. My gut says he's locked into the left edge. He has played 80 every time he has started at 2nd row in the last two years. Its just a price point issue for me.

Hodgson combining with Starling and Whitehead (likely) not an 80 min lock is good for their edges playing big mins.

I had him in my first draft for about 5 secs, but didn't have the guts to stick with it. I think he's top of the pecking order for the edge now, expect he'll play 80.

I'm very close to just putting him in and going with it.

I find it hard to believe Walters has only played 12 NRL games.
