    Current team:

    Brailey
    Crichton Watson BSmith
    Fifita Riki
    Munster Fog
    Roberts Niu
    Teddy Pappy Laurie

    Turpin Walker Schuster Liddle
    Alvaro Stefano Leniu Simonsson

    311k in the bank.

Obviously I am Cleary-less which gives me mega anxiety.

Option 1: Downgrade BSmith to someone around 500k and then going Fog to Cleary.
However as much as I want Cleary, is he really worth 450k over Fog?

Option 2: Hold trades. Look to upgrade BSmith to Haas/Grant next week as another captaincy option.

    Option 3: Simonsson to SOS.

    Appreciate any feedback boys!

Decided my team isn't indicative of my bias and as such it needs to be meaner, leaner and most importantly greener.

Really want James as although I think he probably gets rested once or twice this year, he's got the confidence back and is almost a cert to pick up a few meat pies with the TB's he's already getting. We love the bargeover forward close to the line. Reckon that means he's probably ok to make another 150k or so and would be a decent scorer in my team doing so.

The other's I'd love would be Rapa (for obvious reasons) and Taps (though would like to see what his minutes look like now we seem to be running Starling as the replacement hooker and Siliva as another forward. The shitty thing is I have no idea how to get any of them Sad.

God I hate having to let players pass me by. Probably gonna do some sideways shit to get them in anyway just to cheer em on. Who the fuck needs trades anyway, not this guy, I'll do just fine coming last without them.

    From LS Q & A

    Will Niukore become dual position?

The next batch of dual-position player updates will be after round six, so Marata Niukore is set to become a DPP MID/CTR if he remains in the Eels' centres then. Waqa Blake and Michael Oldfield are both due back from injuries in round 6 so that's no guarantee.

I still don't really think he's an urgent pick up even if made CTR DPP playing CTR as he's a 500k+ CTR playing CTR still capable of poor scores.

You're supposed to buy CTRs who are playing MID or EDG, not MIDs who are playing CTR.

Once he has DPP he can end up playing anywhere.

Any interest in Doueihi? Seems to be kicking goals and getting kick metres, couple of tries might be inflating his average? could get DPP if he keeps playing in the halves though

Inspired by the rarity of trades within the draft format, I wonder if there would be any interest in a "No Trades" type comp next year (or I guess no reason you couldn't do it this year). Would need to decide exactly on the rules but essentially its like actually running a team where you use your salary cap to pick a team for the length of the season. Could have like a trade window where you're able to make trades for 1 or 2 weeks or something like that if it was wanted.
I know it wouldn't be everyone's cup of tea as there isn't a lot to keep you interested in the team if you're a trade-aholic like me, but I also think it would be a really interesting challenge as to how you structure your team including non starters when you know you've gotta ride with them the full season. I'd probably learn a thing or two about sticking with players as well.

Yeah, like the interchange bench behind lpap, or... maybe even nowhere...

I think he’s good option but WFB and HLF are pretty easy positions to fill for most people so don’t really need another one

At $567 he's already priced at a mid 40's average.
So, he's unlikely to make much money from here, and he's not likely to average enough to be an elite level WFB, so not really much benefit to getting him.

(It's great owning him in Draft though)

Time for the weekly standard captaincy query!

    Options:

    1. Cleary - Still the gold standard
    2. Papy - Can he back it up vs a weak Bulldogs?
    3. DFifi - Seemingly scores 60 pts for fun now, banner due?
    4. Angus - Was unlucky not to score a try or two last week.. is this week his week?
    5. Brailey - Average of 77... is he soon going to challenge Cleary for the captaincy?!

He's killing it a centre in real life, so he might stay there when Blake's back, but if he doesn't the only place he'll be playing is the bench. He's not dislodging RCG, Paulo and Brown as starting players, iPap is looking like their main bench middle, and with Paulo and Brown getting 60 minutes each and iPap over 50 his fantasy prospects aren't great.

Lock me in for 5. Think Brailey might miss a few tackles this week perhaps, but then also could jag a try.
