So far Dragons look average in terms of scoring points. Guess that will come from Widdop , Thompson and Dugan. Looking alright on defense but giving away lots of metres to Souths.

Was impressed with Jack De Belin (busy on defense) but went off about 22 mins in for Dunamis Lui, came back at 51 minutes.
Leeson Ah Mau has somewhat been overshadowed by Packer. Mooper and Creagh came on at 20 mins for Ah Mau and Packer. Creagh got a sore neck at 26 mins, Packer went back on straight away. Ah Mau came back on for Packer at 48 mins. DeBelin came on for Mooper at 51 mins. Sorry this is way behind because I rewinded back to see exact times.

Souths look alright especially knowing Burgess boys will be back. The two souths hookers will work well in tandem. Cook is looking the goods.
Auva'a will be a good cheapie if he gets the nod over Hymel Hunt.

Lafai, has done nothing. I think maybe 1 or 2 straight forward carries.
LAM nothing out of the ordinary, goods mins but to be expected.
JDB, nothing special hasn't really been involved much tbh.
Packer. Safe carries, hasn't looked for offloads, a couple of missed tackles, but ok.
Auvaa coming off bench, hasn't really done much.

EDIT: Auva'a just cored a try, one of his first touches.

Cheers Speedball, much appreciated. You too Warriors for your write up. Big help.

Hymel butchered a try when he got greedy and didn't pass. Not what you want from your centre with an unmarked winger outside you.
So can't see that helping hunts chances

So I missed the Charity Shield game but read the results, just as well I didn't follow the advice of whoever said here $1.60 was a great price for the Dragons who would in it easy with the team they named.
Anything fantasy relevant I should take out of it? I read Warriors summary which tells me Packer actually looked impressive but then again didn't Rory O'Brien do the same last year? Anyway I have LAM in my team and tossing up including Cooper or De Belin. Anything stand out in the game to make me exclude or include these players in my team?

What I got out of tonight unless the Dragons change drastically with Widdop, Thompson and Dugan.
I would steer clear of Mann and Lafai for now. Better options out there I reckon.
Not sure on Ah Mau now, Packer was very impressive I thought, although he is just a hitup land on knees over advantage line quick play the ball guy.
Ah Mau was more standing in tackles looking for offloads.
JDB I thought is a better option than Mooper, just my thoughts but a bit of a shit fight for minutes now also with Dunamis Lui looking better than average.

    My take on minutes is
    JDB - 55 minutes
    Packer - 40 minutes and Creagh - 35 minutes
Thompson - 80 mins on edge
Leeson Ah Mau - 50 minutes
    Mooper - 50 minutes
    Dunamis Lui - 30 minutes
    Frizell - 60 minutes

400 minutes - there is a little value in there pack.

Souths - yeah Auva'a will be starting and go alright.
Cody Walker looks a good prospect and could surpass Keary if hes on the outer.
Paul Carter is a goer and would be gold if he got the minutes, he could take minutes of big Samy???

Only way Friz only plays 60 minutes is a the start of the season while he works back from injury, he is one of the premier edge forwards in the game and will play 80

Yeah I'm looking at the first six weeks so I think there is most value in Packer, JDB and Ah Mau in that order. Packers attitude looks to have really changed, seems as though he has worked harder and is more fit. Thinking he could be a better option than Brenton Lawrence for the price??? Looked like Packer was taking Ah Mau's hitups tonight.

I'm not - doesn't look likely to break tackles and won't increase in value much I wouldn't think.

if PAcker plays 40 he should go for about 30, him and Brenton playing the same minutes i would likely edge towards Lawrence but their scores should be pretty similar with the same minutes

I didn't see the charity shield game but will stick with Ah Mau to start the season because when his avg playing 50+ minutes last year his avg was around 8-10 points higher, if he was looking for the offloads and looking to play like that this year hopefully he can really push on
