Agree with the assessments of the Charity Shield. Just with Mann, he is awkwardly priced and I can't have him at this stage, but he looks like a natural fullback, positioning was good and his one on one defence was impressive.

So maybe need to make room for Hurrel he pushed through like four blokes to get that from 5 meters out.

Marty Taupau is a beast. He's the standout so far.

At the Warriors trial today Halligan reckoned Kata & Lolohea were his picks to be the centres.

I'm hearing that Lolohea's going to play in the centres but I don't understand why. They weaken their wing position by shifting him there, I mean Fusitua's a good player but injured aplenty, Wright's a plodder and their other options are solid but unremarkable.

Maumalo would be ideal for the other wing spot & is a monster but he makes too many errors with his hands & he's terrible under the high ball.

Argument too is that Lolohea is wasted on the wing.

The first would only be an option if the Cowboys play him for 80. If Kostjasyn is named on the bench then he isn't really worth it IMO.

I really think if they want to play Lolo in the centres then they should leave out Kata instead of Hurrell. Kata can be a ball hog at times and I just think Hurrell has more to offer at his best.

Who has fit GI in? I'm tempted this year to not worry about byes and origin at all (for now) and just fit as many of all the players I want in, irrespective of draw. First time I've taken this approach. Feels bit unplanned

Hurrell should be in a few more sides after tonight. Hopefully the Warriors side is one of them.
