DCE and Munster are getting on as QLD halves, the sooner we get the Sam Walker career kick started the better.

Last year round 1 Yeo showed his hand as to what the year would bring. Believe he was priced around $550k?

    Who are this years players?

    Hudson Young?
    Lindsay Collins?

Really like the look of Young, just cant see a way of brining into my team without tearing it to pieces of trading out Crichton which I think is a mistake when only one round

Hey Lads would love some opinions.
I`m pretty certain on bringing Davey in, for my second trade I am deciding between Alvaro, Leniu and Koloa.
If I went with Alvaro or Leniu I would have spare money for coming weeks.
If I went with Koloa there is a chance he may sit on my emergency after this week.
Let me know which option you guys would go for.

Also a lot of the trade in targets scored TO points this week or just players that scored quite well.

LAM - 1 TO, 1 try, 1 LB, 2TB's from the try = 22 points. On other days can see him only scoring 30.
Sironen - 1 TO, 1 try, 1 LB, 2TB's from the try = 22 points. On other days can see him scoring 35-40.
Alvaro - 1 TO, 1 TB (in his previous 8 games he didn't break a tackle). Can see him scoring 30.
    Leniu - 1 TO

Shit Luke Brooks got 3 TO's, Joe Ofahengaue 2 TO's.

    Hudson Young - 2 TO's, 1 try, 1 LB.

Paul Momo got 1 LB, 5 TBs, 1 TO.

Point is - TO's make a difference to weekly score but at the same time are not sustainable.

Leniu will make more money, Kolo might provide better scores just - Alvaro 3rd choice due to being a tacklebot only, basically McCullough but only plays 35 mins.

As a souths fan myself I will be bringing Koloamatangi in. Throughout NSW cup he mainly played in the second row and was extremely damaging. He has a huge motor and isn't afraid to get his hands dirty with tackles and doing the shitty runs nobody else wants to do.

I dont think people should be judging the Souths pack based on the Melbourne game. We were 22-0 down when Benji came on and they were hitting our right edge really hard. It wasn't so much of a defensive thing to bring Benji on as much as it was to add some spark in attack. Wayne was quoted saying this in the press conference after the match.

The reason I mention this is because I dont think Benji is going to be playing big minutes every week as I see Souths as a top 4 side and probably putting cricket scores and a lot of the lower teams. I think the trend of souths Second rowers playing at least 60+ minutes will continue and I think Koloa is bound to see some tries. I also think in closer matches Benji will be brought on late in the match as a game breaker.

As for the reason why Bennett chose Host over Koloa I believe that Host is more of a Bennett type of player being that he's safe defensively but offers nothing in attack. He also played really well in the charity shield against a dragons team which never really showed up to the match. Koala held his own against a dominant Melbourne pack and I expect him to keep his spot for the rest of the season as he is a gun in the making and the club rates him very highly.

Just my 2 cents as im hopping on the Koala train.

Nice. Pretty much in line with my thinking.

JTB peaked around $450k last year I think so probably only about $150K.
Simonsson will have a big game sometime and make close to that. Might have to be more patient.

So you would keep him over bringing in Alvaro?

I think LAM will do better than that - in 2019, he averaged 45 points in 47 minutes. I'm thinking he returns to those levels.

Lodge and Averillo to Leniu and Davey seem like decent trades? Or just save a trade and do with the first one?

[quote="No Worries"]Everyone is going to be raging come Monday. 4 games in Sydney this weekend with a forecast of pissing down rain from now till Sunday with it easing Sunday. Low scoring games. Teddy wont wear long studs for fear of injury and has a low average against the Tigers, put him in your emergencies and back the Tigers.

    What are the Sydney games?

    Bulldogs vs Panthers
    Sea Eagles vs Rabbitohs
    Tigers vs Roosters

Whats the other one? Warriors vs Knights?

Yeah I am not seeing LAM getting the minutes without 2 HIAs impacting forward rotations like last week.

Harris, AFB, Tevaga, Sironen all look set for big minutes, with Egan expected to play big minutes at hooker.

I am happy to ride LAM. I don't think the HIA's affected his minutes too much. Too me we can't gauge much off the HIA's in R1. I still think LAM goes for at least 35-40 minutes and with his PPM that could see a 35-40+ average which still nets him decent coin.
