mate why do you have to come on here with all this reality talk? this is fantasy and lawrie is going to start at fullback

Who do we think will get a DPP round one that doesn’t currently have one?

    My list

    Niu
    Cotric
    Josh Jackson

    There must be others right?

well Laurie was signed to play fullback, and unless it turns out he isn't as good as his career so far has promised I expect it to happen.

It may not happen round 1, but its going to happen at some point.

i dont doubt it will happen at some point, just like reese walsh will be the Broncos fullback sooner or later. Wont happen in round 1 though.

Happy 2021 lads! Really looking forward to this year's footy season. Been a long time reader of the page, so many well thought out opinions. Am I too late to join any leagues? Bring on fantasy year!

It may not happen round 1, but its going to happen at some point.

All of the top 30 are signed to play a position.
Whether they make the 13 is another thing.

Laurie was on a dev. contract at the Panthers (not even in their 30), so is likely on $100-200K I'd hazard a guess. MBye reported to be close to a Mil (SMH!)

At some point it will happen. I just suspect it requires something else to happen, before it happens...
I see MBye has some "minor" hamstring issue, so maybe that will be the opportunity.

Is anyone running a Teddy/Moylan/Niu WFB combo (or similarly cheap)?

I don't know if I like it, but it does let me run Cook, Crichton, Tohu, DiFi, Cleary and Teddy.

    Too risky?

We got it wrong but mentioned the right name. Try without googling.

It would have to be Greg Inglis wouldn't it?

That is how its looking for me although I have Simonsson instead of Niu

Basically have the same guns, seems like a lot are running very similar 5 down the line, I've got Munster in at 2nd half as well.

I think someone will end up being sacrificed though as I don't see all the cheapies coming to fruitition.

    I'm currently running:

Teddy, Hoy, Simonsson with Niu in 18-21 for cover.

Hoy to be traded to TTrbo around rd4

    I. Currently running pappy niu and hoy. Will do hoy to turbo when his fit so won't be to bad gives me a solid forward pack.

3rd MID position looks like it is a tough one for me at the moment

Koala and Watson look good for first 2 spots

Crichton or Tohu as DPP in 14-17

If Papenhuyzen kicks goal over Munster on the weekend I think I'll drop Munster for Brooks, but otherwise not sure I can afford both Tohu and Crichton
Someone like Twal, Taukeiaho or Tino can be done.
For cheapies, there is hope Ofahangaue/Lodge/Ford/LAM/BMM look good enough to start, but I am not confident on any of those at the moment.

Current draft has Teddy/Moylan/Hopoate, but don't think I like it either. Don't have Tohu but have been trying to work out how to fit him in.

Hoy looks to be firming as preferred Trbo replacement, but his job security is a worry.

If he only gets 3 weeks that is not a lot of time to make cash for an upgrade. Picking him you are banking on Turbo returning on time, and Ponga not being early.
Couple of low 30s in the first couple of games and are looking at a bit of a dud trade

Not getting the Hoy love. Casualty ward currently has Ponga returning rounds 1-4. Even the most generous estimate of Ponga returning round 4 gives Hoy 3 rounds to make some cash.

Even a very generous 50 average sees him making 127k over 3 rounds. He'd have to average 55 to make 150k+.

I guess that's possible starting against Bulldogs, Warriors, Tigers, but I think it's too much of a gamble.

I'm surprised there isn't more focus on whoever gets the vacant Storm wing spot.
