NRL Supercoach 2021

There isn't a thread on here so i thought id make one. I'm hoping to go 6 better next season in which case i'd win the 50k (Now that my brag is out of the way i can focus on the new season).

I've made several drafts but im still not that close to a team that i really like. As usual it is the CTWs that are causing me the most grief. I know im not going to spend much in that position and at the moment ive locked in  W.Hopoate/Staines/Niu/Laurie and Holmes is currently in my team but im a bit uncertain about him.

I'm a bit unsure about my FrFs too. Currently got Ah Mau in as my 2nd pick but i think his game is better suited to Fantasy rather than SC. I can get rid of Ah Mau for Davey if i swing Tino to Frf and downgrade a CTW on my bench.

At the moment i have Cleary but no Tedesco. I'm happy enough with that given i have faith in Turbo and Papi.

There are quite a few players with good scoring potential that I've left out at the moment because of uncertainty surrounding their role and/or injury issues. Roberts & Moylan are top of that list - given i have Watson.

Anyway, i know it isnt very popular on here but i think its worthwhile to get a thread going. I think it would be great if we could get a league or 2 going if there is enough interest?

I haven't looked at it. But connor watson is the only one i'm interested in at this stage

Watson is very cheap at $288k. Im going with him as my onfield hooker with Liddle backup. It allows for decent depth in every other position but CTW

I think the cows/low-end mid-pricers im committed to include Watson, Niu, Staines, Liddle & Leniu. Beyond them, my cows are constantly changing. Blore was on that list but apparantly he has suffered an injury

Blore was in every serious team so the hunt will be on after the trials for his replacement. Regarding centres I have adopted a policy of a gun, a middle pricer and two lower priced players for my onfield centres, Kelly, Ferguson, Staines and Simonsson. Kelly is in a team on the way up and has the moves, Ferguson overdue some more tries then last season and generally has a good opening draw. Staines may do anything but not having him may hurt more. Simonsson better then his stats suggest and if picked may be an early season bolter. He also is heavily picked ( low price ) but may be a reserve in many teams.
Good luck all and enjoy picking your squads, its one of the best parts of the sports fantasy we delve into. Apologies, Staines is a mid pricer . On Ferguson, his contract runs out this season and he may not be at the Eels in 2022 so I expect an improved performance to justify his market price if nothing else.

Impressive work on your last year finish.

This is my 2nd favourite comp (behind VSDT) - so thanks for setting up.

I've no idea why the NRL.com comp is the most popular on this forum, it is easily the shittest form of fantasy.

So much more value at HOK, so little at 5/8 -I’d play him at 5/8. If he breaks he’ll be easier to replace at 5/8 at his price.

Is Blore actually injured? I have only heard it on a fan forum and nowhere else.

Haha, sorry for being a tight-ass, just go in too many other $$ comps to start dropping into paid ones all over the joint, but if you do a free one, or even a cheaper one, lol, I'd be well keen for sure.

If i dont get enough interest for a paid one i'll definitely do a free entry one. So ill keep you in mind
