How did everyones eliminator go? I forgot how much fun it was to be in with a chance of winning something.

883 saw me get a 220 point eliminator win (playing against 3 zeroes), and fingers crossed I might creep into the top 20 overall, currently 23rd. Being in no meaningful leagues, the eliminator has added a whole new level to my weekend Smile

Yeah I might have been a shot also after 16 of my blokes racked up 958.......unfortunately my 17th man, Mr Vunivalu could only manage a paltry 5 to take me to 963.

    Shan't be complaining though!!

Massive 477 point win in the eliminator thanks to playing a dud team.

Now forgetting overall and making trades solely on the basis of defending my eliminator title.

Which is good for my trade balance because I can ignore bye planning, and do nothing but bring in guns, and maybe a cash cow or 2.

Got through comfortably with a 280 point win. Need a couple more weeks of playing ordinary sides to give me more time to get the right team together.

Finished top 10% for the round so might get lucky with next weeks draw.

A 500+ point eliminator win and a slight upwards movement in the overall ranks to 44 from 48 but I am struggling for players for R15

any suggestions guys, only $4,000 in the kitty

    Smith, Lichaa
    Graham, Surgess, JTurbo, VLeulai
Lowe, Whitehead, Taylor, Cartwright, Mau, Matthews
    Hunt, Mbye, Hastings, Cullen
    Harriss, Holland, Aubbs, Denniss
    Coote, Mitchell, Gordon, Feeney, Abbey

    WFB is poor I know

    thinking

    Mbye - Johnson
    Holland - L. Brown

i got through pretty comfortably, would have been a tougher match-up against the first team i was paired with.

not a lot of options jumping out. i'd be trying to trade in keepers and cash outs (ideally who play in one or both big byes) at this stage. Is Johnson a keeper for you? or will you want to trade him again by Rd 18? I assume Brown will come in and then go again for a Rd 18 player. Are the extra points (remembering that Mbye and Holland are both rd 18 players) worth it for two/three trades?

In the good old days (prior to the Fanhub take-over in 2014), we used to maintain an list of DT eliminator results in the main thread.

I will start a list now.

Hey Welshy. IMO jelejasof has given you good advice.

Mbye - Johnson seems a bit sideways, with Johnson playing in R15 and Mbye playing in R18. It might be worth waiting a week to see what happens at the Roosters with Hastings. Maybe a Hastings -Johnson or Hastings -Pearce trade might be worth considering in R15 if Hastings gets dropped. That's what I'm doing with my team.

I don't like the Holland - L.Brown trade at all. I wouldn't touch Brown with a 10 foot pole. Brown plays in R15 but Holland plays in R18. Not sure who to suggest really. I'm holding Holland for R18 in my team if that helps.

Roosters and Eels play in both R15 & R18, so they are the prime candidates apart from genuine guns and cash cows. But if I was you, I would be tempted to NOT trade this week, since nothing really stands out atm. Your team is well-placed atm, and you will be surprised how valauable those extra 2 trades will be towards the end of the season if/when some of your guns get injured.

"When in doubt, DON'T trade" is a good (but often forgotten) motto worth following in DT.
