With RTS out I'm going Lawrie to Ponga. I'll hold my second trade waiting for a 212k option.

So mentioned previously that with RTS out it means I look to bring in Bateman finally.

Traded out Okunbur who did sweet f all for the two/three weeks I had him? So he will go huge. Picked up Kennedy who I am forced to play this week. Will hopefully hold his spot until Moylan returns Round 10 and Burns should be back by then. I am keeping Arrow who is steadily losing cash but he will bust out a big score soon to make me second guess myself.

Next week Arrow/Lawrie/Rein/Garner are the guys I am looking at moving, but I could end up holding a week and then downgrading one and getting a strong HLF/WFB.

Only other question is I can loop using Burns & Rein. So who would you rather get a look at CHT or Lawrie.

CHT easily. Much more likely to get that massive play.

Just caught up on the thread. Missed the whole origin/bye round argument, that is such a 2017 discussion. I didn't consider the Bye rounds this year with selecting my initial team like I did in previous years and I've had the best start ever. My team is in great shape, having the top FRFs, the top 2RFs, the top CTRs, and the top WFBs.
I've got 2 great Halves, and maybe not the best Hookers yet, but will have to spend top dollar to afford the best Hookers in town.
RTS out this round should work in my favour.
My only weak spot is having to play one of Rava, Xerri, or CHT with Nikora out.
Sorry Code Delta, I just missed the party

Can anyone help me out with valuing Jai Whitbread. He looks like the best low end cash cow play (<300k) for my trade plans this week.

I don't think he needs his own thread like his more popular teammate but after 2 games with good minutes and scores (looks like a low end Burr) I'm considering him but the Titans have had major injuries in both. I haven't watched much of their games so don't have a gut feeling on him as a player personally.

I think he's probably a 30-35 point player in his current role (~35 mins) but not sure if I can expect him to keep that 35+ minute role.

Rd 5 he was a late inclusion for Boyd + in game injuries boosted his minutes
Rd 6 Was what I assume was a Wallace suspension + Ryan James injury boosted his minutes
Rd 7 James is out for the season and thankfully no-one is injured yet

At 283k and a -4 BE if he keeps a 35 average he'll be at 410k by round 9 and hopefully closer to 450/460k after rd12. I'm hesitant as I have max traded so far and really don't want to waste trades on a dud when I know we always see the next wave of cows soon.

Can I get a gauge of where everybody is at?

Upvote : He'll get to above 400k and be a handy rd 12 player
Downvote : Trap. Likely less game time/job security than the above needs.

I'm playing CHT. With the warriors lineup he'll be kicking out of his own half every set.

Waddell for a solid 40ish. CHT seems to have a decent floor for a Rookie Half, and I'm playing him over Carty until I hear more about the injury rumour, but Warriors looking like they might get pumped.

    1 - Beale
    2 - Hiku
    3 - Ayshford
    4 - Herbert
    5 - Maumalo
    6 - Harris-Tevita
    7 - Harris

That has got to be close to the worst Warriors backline I have ever seen.

Not to worry. It's great that threads are moving rather fast and thus its becoming harder to drop into the parties but it's Wednesday.

I see alot of dropped balls from warriors as they struggle. Reckon he is set for a mid 30s tbh...

Surely Hiku and Beale will swap?

Really looking forward to Satae getting a crack off the bench, he was tremendous in the trial I watched.

Don’t usually post my whole team but just wanted some people’s thoughts on how it looks.

    Rein
    Fifita Marty
    Arrow Garner Murray
    Carty Morgan
    Xerri Bateman
    Teddy Ponga CNK

    Mahoney niukore Haas Lawrie

    Whitbread Okunbor Nikora Sele

I brought in Bateman and Whitbread for Bird and Ravalawa. 40k itb. Decided to wait and see if Sele is back. Got Whitbread in but I’m not supremely confident and don’t see anyone else as a viable trade in (Herbert maybe?). Cheers

See above. I'm not sold on Whitbread either but generally most seem to like him. Personally don't have anyone else below 327k as a viable cow either so if you want a gun Bateman this seems good.

Bored at work so will give you some notes for what I think mate

First thought is trading Okunbor out instead of Rava? Rava can cover WFB (and HLF through Ponga) should you need it. You are thin there and Oku does nothing to help.

HOKs: Pretty standard right now. Both hitting ~48-50 averages. Of course, finding money and upgrading both to Cook, Smith, Farah is the ideal
FRFs: Two locked in. Hopefully Marty gets an uptick in minutes soon. Also Haas, Lawrie and Whitbred all the best FRF money makers. Lawrie to go shortly but no hurry. I think Whitbred could be worthwhile, but time will tell. Hass could be a keeper
2RFs: Some thinking about Arrow out soon. He is a definite hold for me, even before the James injury. So now he looks like he could be a gun again. Murray scoring well now without LBs or Tries, so a likely keeper with Nikora. Garner and Niukore close to peaking. Sele is a hold for me for now
HLFs: No CHT is interesting. Think this area is the big worry. I think Morgan is fine for now. May get a boost with Tolo back and will need to be an upgrade at some stage, but think a 3rd half or upgrading Carty soon is a priority. Obviously you can move Ponga in but you have no WFB cover if you sell Rava
CTRs: Batman and Nikora and Xerri as a back up is strong and almost perfect right now
WFBs: Tick, tick, tick. CNK upgrade to RTS, TTrbo and you are sorted. OR if he keeps gunning it, Ponga up to HLF. And get one of them in for Carty once he peaks

To be honest it's quite standard right now. Good money makers and captaincy options in Fifi and Batman.
Short-medium time I would look at Niukore and Rava first, then Lawrie andGarner upgrades out and focus on a gun HLF (DCE/Cleary/SJ) and HOK (Cook/Smith/Farah)
Long-term: Sele, Whitbred, Mahoney, Rein, Carty out

TLDR; Trade Oku instead of Rava. Soon move Niukore + Rava for Gun Half + next WFB Cow
