I forgot about Payne Haas returning from suspension in round 4, curious to see if he gets any minutes

I think Nikora was groomed as the Luke Lewis replacement when he retired so I think he's safe.

If he can't handle a soft game of rugby then how is he going to handle the tough game of rugby league. Also the doggies fans have never forgiven/forgotten how he deserted the club & slipped out of the country in secrecy like a coward.

I heard the SBW dogs thing a week or so ago in NZ media. Probably some substance to it.

I dont buy the whole forgive forget thing. Look what LBJ did in Cleveland: They were burning his jersey but he got welcomed back at the end of the day. The difference as u say is SBW is well past his prime. LBJ was in the middle of his.

Time will tell but I wouldn't discount this one!

Just as an aside I've never seen a rookie deliver so little in their few first grade appearances but get so much praise from the media. He played like 3-4 games last year. Got injured in one, concussed in another but media are telling us he's a future NSW rep and he'll be a big addition to the Broncos line-up when he returns.

I'm with you. I don't see the fuss yet either.

I was shocked last year when the broncs were trying to secure him ahead of TPJ. I made the comment that i thought TPJ could be the best forward in the game, and i still stand by that.

He is the Tongan Sam Burgess every team needs.

I just can't resist bringing in J. Bird & Surgess this week. Out will go Holland & Capewell. No explanation required re getting rid of Holland & replacing him with Bird. I know Capewell will still make money scoring his 40-45 points but Surgess will make more money & outscore Capewell by 15-20+ points. I know Capewell isn't exhausted as a cow but the form that Surgess is in & how he is the go to man on attack I can't see Surgess doing anything but getting better especially with Souths upcoming draw.

There are some very playable cash cows this season, if your bench is Nikora, Garner, Brown, Keighran, it isn't so bad.

This was not really the the case. TPJ was never signinf anywhere until his management contract expired.

If Capewell isn't one of your starting ctr it makes sense to upgrade him to a gun fwd

The NZ Media reported that the Australian media were reporting SBW is in talks with the Dogs. So it came from the same source, think it was Channel 9. Rubbished by a few notable guys on other forums though. He's already been linked to Toronto, I'd probably favour that over a shitty Mole rumour. No way he'd go to the Dogs, but it's hard to see Roosters trying to fit him in their already suspect squad.

Now that is of interest, he is going to be their big minute lock like he was last season when Brown was out.
