According to this Kikau would be missing the first 4-5 round (depending on recovery and when they want to bring him back). Who would grab that spot? Also would this be bad news for Egan/Katoa with an extra bench spot?

Its probably closer to 3 NRL games given round 1 is still basically 3 weeks away.

Makes it tricky to try and take advantage of a quick cash grab (if someone like Fui started 2nd row).

Today is the 25th, 6 weeks from today is April 8th. Season starts on March 14th, that's 4 weekends of football between March 14 and April 8 and with a re-injury they'll want to be extra careful and make sure he is 120% so could even wait that extra week, so there is 5 weeks of footy.

Anyone think McLean could be a bit of a smokey this year? Came back from injury last year with an avg of 47.33 in 48mpg over the last 6 games. Will be starting up front with Moose and i can see both averaging 45-50 mpg. With the Cows boasting a MASSIVE pack those forwards should be on the front foot most the game and fairly fresh. If Mclean can push 48-50ppg that would make him 10 points underpriced and a nice POD priced around the same as Tolman.

Scoring a try boosted his average, I'm generally wanting my middies and cashies to average at least 8 points above their BE. Don't think he'll hit 47 regularly

Why do so many people think the Knights will just stroll into the top 8? They had the worst defence in the league last year. Will Klemmer and Glasby really make that much of an impact? Klemmer didn't stop the Bulldogs from being shit and Glasby was a bench prop, can't see him doing much

Personally, I think a couple of the fringe top 8 teams from last year (Warriors, Dragons) might perform worse due to off season changes/scandals (JDB for Dragons, Johnson gone for Warriors) while Knights have strengthened massively (Ramien in addition to Klemmer and Glasby)

Also Pearce was injured for 6-8 weeks last year and Ponga got injured at the end of the year where they could have a few more games they could have won to sneak into the 8 with the team they had last year, so with team improvement suggests better performance hypothetically

Glasby is one of the most underrated players in the comp, he will make a huge difference. Klemmer makes any team better but you’re also forgetting Ramien... he’s an absolute gun of a player. They’ll have a fit Moga this year and Lee is ok as well plus Watson playing his best position.Their roster demands a top eight finish

I forgot about Ramien. I actually have them in the 8 at the moment but literally at 8. I just think its a stretch to say that certain individuals in the team will improve based on a belief that the Knights will improve so drastically. Quite a few are saying top 4 as well which just baffles me

Pearce was injured for a fair chunk of last year. Klemmer is a very underrated beast I reckon and Glasby just does his job very nicely. Ramien is also an underrated Centre who will be happy to be back in his home town. Edrick Lee is a flyer and loves a TB, Mann is a nice spark off the bench and Gavet could provide some toughness up front if he gets a bench spot. They have had a really good off season and with some experience, plus talent coming into the squad and another year together they will surely be contending for a top 8 if not top 6 spot.

I guess we'll see, their defence needs to improve though. No doubt there attack is outstanding

Fully agree! I guess a worry is the fact they dont have an out an out choice for the 9. Due to their defensive issued, especially on the goal line, i dont have them sitting top 4, but if their Goal line defence can improve they would easily be a top 4 team in the next 12-24 months.

100% agree with you. Anything less than the 8 will be a huge failure with the names they have I reckon.

Klemmer ain't underrated, pretty common knowledge that he's one of the best if not the best prop in the game, he's been playing origin and for Australia for years now. Lee is pretty shit IMO, he's improved though. Ramien has received plenty of hype as well, underrated is said about players too often I think. Glasby and Gavet will be good though agreed, Gavet is genuinely underrated.
