Wasn't named originally but for it's a small ask for the upgrade to this year's contract.

West Tigers coach Jason Taylor flew out to the Auckland Nines on Thursday morning sporting a nasty looking black eye.
Taylor didn't talk to the media about what had happened and Tigers captain for the Nines, Elijah Taylor, said he wasn't sure either.
There have been persistent rumours about ongoing drama at the Tigers despite the departure of Robbie Farah to the Rabbitohs.
The Lurker reported that Taylor had an angry exchange with a player during preseason recently.
In 2009, then South Sydney coach Taylor was punched in the face by David Fa'alogo during Mad Monday celebrations.
Rumours are the heated exchange was with Lovett

Lurker's news is old. It was Lovett just before they broke for Xmas and ironically just before Lovett got done for coke possession. A new shiner would be a new story. Ironically just after Lovett's court appearance.

If true that it's from a player than he needs to give away the whole idea of being a real head coach at some point. If he hasn't developed the skills to get some respect from his players since last time he got sat on his backside he never will.

then again my old rugby coach use to turn up to training every now and then with a shiner. He was a raging alco who use to get dropped when he was drunk at the pub every now and then

I know its only the pre season and results don't count, and we rest most of our stars, blah, blah, blah, but it would have been nice for supporters confidence if we could have managed a win against the dragons, (and knights last week too)
Lets hope we have an injury free year and don't have to rely on our depth, similar to 2005 would be nice thank you and amen

really, looking at the rosters on paper, tedesco and moses will win a few games for the tigers on their own - but when tedesco gets hurt again they wont be able to score points.
Ted on his own keeps the tigers in finals contention, much like hayne at the titans. When ted gets hurt (i hope to god he doesnt because he is just brilliant to watch) and misses 6-10 games they will lose just about all of them and then just miss about on the finals as usual.
What is the fix for the tigers though? An edge back rower and another decent front rower? hooker?
They are still paying a pretty decent hooker
