and that's ignoring that the entire 'Rugby League' section of the forum has been tumbleweeds all year, and Pie, Ice & Shanbon are pretty much the only ones using it.

Definately a lot less non fantasy talk. So how about Isaac Luke ? Could never keep going with Paix, unfair on him and the team. If only they had a 200 game veteran hooker to call on.

honestly, there's the same amount of non-fantasy talk, but the fantasy threads are just the catch-all for pretty much all conversation here now.

as far as Luke, it's a decent pick-up for this stage of proceedings, easy to say we should've just kept Macca, but there's no crystal ball for your starting hooker going down long-term right after he walks out the door, and 500k-odd is a fair chunk of salary cap to tie up in some-one you don't have plans for, they saw an opportunity to free up cap space for future negotiations towards more important pieces to the puzzle, thanks to a club that wouldn't have had the same need if we'd tried deal him in the off-season, and now we have a veteran hooker with 'winning'-er experience (for lack of a better word) on a fraction of the cost. jury's out on if it will mean anything for the team moving forward, but it's easy to criticize with the benefit of hindsight.

I'm very happy with the pick up.

Nothing against Macca; as the switch probably works for both players in terms of the make up of the two teams.
Newie have plenty of attacking weapons....or at least players able to pass to Ponga.....and we have a big forward pack that Luke will thrive behind.

It's the role Seggy would played if he didn't go all Lance Armstrong on us.

Luke is a good pick up for sure given your other options there now FAC has gone to greener pastures. Won't make you a Premiership side but will certainly help turn around flagging fortunes.

yep, so noisy, we were undefeated before the covid break, and look at all the posts we made! there's the post from dasher before the season kicked off and then the post from No Worries when the Broncos lost the return match, such loud, much noiseness again, no-one (Bronco fan or otherwise) gives a shit about this part of the forum other than like 3 people.
