    Gelling iirc only came back to NZ for personal reasons (ill family member?) and wasn't even expecting to play rugby. Presumably those circumstances are different now and he can resume his life in England.

    What to do with TPJ. I'd rather not trade him but starting from the bench is not ideal. So currently have him going to Mcinnes but not sure.

    If Sua is a late scratching then he should start, but you probably won't know before tonight

    For those who like salary cap stuff Gus touched on a little bit on his podcast. Mentioned that last year under top 25 system reserve graders could be paid anything as long as it didn't push them in to top 25. Example he used was Darren Nicholls who was on 75k. This year under top 30 they have to either be on a top 30 contract or reserve grade tops out at 35k. Led to a lot of fringe first graders shuffling teams.

    Also mentioned Panthers origin players are unlikely to back up(same was said before origin 1 so take it with a grain of salt)

    I wonder how many of those reserve graders are training full time? They'd be better off financially playing club footy than training fulltime for $35k

    They run opposed sessions against first grade all the time. No chance at the big break playing club footy. Most are sacrificng money for the chance at being first graders

    Is Holland likely to lose his CTR spot when Josh Morris comes back in round 19?

    You'd think Montoya or Smith get dropped first.

    But hey who knows

    Tapine is tempting. I'm planning Gallen next week to finish up my team, but the round 17 points on offer and his POD/Improving Raiders factor is worth considering. Anyone wanna weigh in on Tapine vs Gall? Would give me a final forward pack and bench of;

    Cook
    Fifi Arrow
    Jurbo Lolo Tapine

    Bench;

    Smith, Surgess, Farah, Ese'ese | TPJ, Martin, Holland, Lewis

    I'm looking forward to seeing if Pearce comes back and kills it. Would be a great POD for the run home

    Morris plays left centre. Holland plays right centre because Hopoate moved to FB. I suppose anything's possible with Pay but apparently Montoya was going to be dropped but for Morris injury and then Olive sucked

    Am I the only one trading both Ponga and Harris? Plus Sua?

    Trading Harris to Farah hurts.
    Leaves me with only 2 trades when I should have had 3.
    Will now have to keep Martin in my final squad instead of trading him to Gallen, I hope last week's poor showing was just an anomaly for him.

    Flying by the seam of your pants is pretty exciting though. 10/10, do recommend.

    Trading Ponga is madness. Unless further injury complications you'll want him back

    Have I missed any news on Sua? Ordinary timing for the Broncos to get a Sunday game

    I keep coming back to Cotric vs Aitken vs RTS

    Cotric atm because DPP and only Latrell and Holland CTR and Cotric covers WFB until Ponga back then can switch to CTR. Other WFB Mbye and Teddy

    Cotric most expensive relies on TBs and tries. Most of his 40pt or better have minimum 5 TBs mostly 8 or more. 7 games in a row with a try seems unsustainable

    Aitken cheapest of 3 solves CTR issue and can run Holland WFB until Ponga back. 70 last week great but Eels and his 5 game avg before that was 32.4 mediocre scores without a try

    RTS I would get but I really need CTR or DPP WFB/CTR. Good scores rely on 5TBs near 200m as base. Will he burden more responsibility as captain with loss of Harris and Afoa out and translate into points or will Warriors take a dip and his points suffer as result?

    Any thoughts? On Cotric because of DPP but cycling through all 3 last 2 days. I think RTS no go because of my team structure even though I like his potential the most

    Ive currently got both traded out. Do have Hiku to cover Ponga, bringing in RTS is tempting though. Cant help but chase those sweet sweet rd 17 points.

    I've had that exact dilemma Loomer. I think RTS averages the most of those 3 for the rest of the season but I've settled on Aitken as I need a centre.
    I still may trade Ponga for RTS with the intention of bringing him back as well though.
