Floating an idea ahead of next round. I get Farah with 5 trades left and my 17 is set albeit Holland filling in until Ponga back. Martin is my 17th man. Would you do DCE>Nuikore if I could do a 2 trade cashout upgrade on remaining cows for a gun and Martin say 18th man. Have Arey SJ Mbye Lewis Doueihi halves already. That strategy leaves me 2 trades or not worth it.

there is a guy on the broncos forum (terrible place), who is usually very reliable with info, who said there will be a late shuffle in the backline, and someone from the team will drop out entirely. he didn't want to say any more than that, so not sure if he's referring to sua, or maybe opacic.. or someone else.

    Thanks MTB

You'd better save those last two trades LB. If you run out this place won't be the same.

I'm sure one of my many trade ideas has given someone a different perspective on their own teams that they hadn't seen.

If it helped them then I'm happy

Im thinking they might update at the end of the round perhaps? Like last week Smith was on 78 ir whatever and people kept saying he got 81 or whatever but all weekend he was on 78 for me. Once the round finished and lock out lifted he changed to 81 for me.

Fantasy often updates late in the round, but if the update hasn't appeared on the NRL app or anywhere else, I don't think he'll get it.

STATS get to their final stats very quickly and don't seem to review them.

FYI here are the try assists from Melbourne last night across 3 stats providers.
Supercoach also has a 'last touch' try assist, but at the moment there are none awarded for last night's games. Supercoach is notorious for fiddling with the stats for days afterwards though so that could well change.

    Jacks - SC 3, Champion 1
    Hughes - SC 2, Champion 2, Fantasy 1
    Croft - SC 1, Champion 1
    Smith - SC 1, Champion 1
    NAS - SC 1, Champion 1, Fantasy 1
    Vunivalu - Champion 1, Fantasy 1
    Hoffman - Champion 1

Surely the backline is the backs not back row

not if they are two separate comments. the way the poster worded is vague, but to me, it reads as separate changes.

    eg
    -staggs to centre, opacic bench
    -sua out, fifita in.

Yeah I think I will keep as I have Holland as back up. Although the money made from going Ponga > Cotric/RTS allows me to go Brimson > Farah and Tuala > Taupau/Turbo/Gallen next week.

Leaving me with 2 trades and Kikau/Graham as 18/19 man

This is similar to what I am doing.

Ponga - RTS allows me cash to bring in a better centre than Hiku for my final spot, and with a good 17, and JFH/Cleary as 18th/19th man.

I think RTS + Mitchell is better than Hiku + Holland/Ponga with Ponga's unknown return date.

    FYI - Ponga's average with Pearce = 55. Ponga's average without Pearce (excluding 2 injury games) = 62
Still massively better than pretty much every other WFB option, but he might take a small hit with Pearce back.

1 trade left for the run home, which I might use on Ponga when he comes back, but more likely will have to deal with some other injury.

Looking at Cotric scores with Williams in halves he has his 2 worst of the season. 17 and 8 against Knights and Manly. Am I overthinking things?

they usually announce the final 17 the day before they play.. but if they stick to that, then we won't know until tomorrow afternoon.

i've come to realise the best way for me to trade is to keep Su'A this week, regardless.

    I'm looking at

    Hopo + Holland/Ponga or
    Hopo + Cotric

Aitken is my other centre, which would you prefer?

Cotric has scored 9 tries in his past 9 games.

I think that has a bigger impact on his scoring than the halves pairing.

How long will he keep it up for?

He's not well priced either. Surely RTS or Aitken would have been better options as a Ponga replacement.

    from NRL.com:

"Liam Martin and Corey Waddell were dropped off the bench an hour before kick-off."

shit, didn't realise the Panters v Warriors game kicks off at 2:30pm today. Rolling Eyes

Seriously, these guys need to stop with the copy-paste mistakes. Feels like there's been at least one error in the team lists each week for the past month or two.

Two reasons for that - Lino loved to take on the line but tended to do a lot of the work himself and take the tackle whereas SJ either broke the line and looked for support or threw a pass to put someone through a hole.

The other reason is that RTS scored his 90 while SJ was playing. His highest score apart from that was 62, almost 30 points lower and he's only scored 50+ four times.
So if you think RTS will score more than his current average, you're probably expecting a big score to come rather than him to score well each week.
