If you have any interest in seeing this movie. Go ASAP.
Avoid social media till you do.
    It's a game changer.
There is so much to spoil that
    spoilers will be everywhere.

In regards to the movie, there is no character development, you are expected to know everyone's place in the universe and back story.
The CGI is done really well, James Brolin as Thanos is excellent. It's pretty much a 2 1/2hr battle across 1/2 dozen worlds. The marvel shtick comedy is still there but doesn't seem as cheesy in this one. It's just mind numbing entertainment, nothing more. Wife hated it, son loved it, but he's not fuckin happy.

I saw it yesterday. Couldn’t believe how much happened in it. Thanos almost seemed like the main character. Brilliant movie!!

Definitely Thanos is the main character. I said before there was no character development, that probably isn't true for Thanos. His character actually has an arc. The movie might be called "Avengers" but  they're just another super hero along with everyone else in this one.

I enjoyed it. Like you said, not a whole lot of storyline going on, but I liked what they had.

    Spoilers:
With pretty much all the characters that died with the snap being the newer ones (some of whom I'm pretty sure have future movies in the works) my early bet is that it will end up being reversed at the end of part 2, and we might be seeing the end of some of the original cast.

It is a bit hard to get emotional about a death when you know it won't last - that is how things work in comic books though.

Found Spiderman's death hit me the most though

    Reply to Milch:
Agree, that Infinity Wars 2 the time stone is used to bring everyone back. Pretty much the only survivors of the snap were Avengers (the original ones) which was the name of the movie. The flip side to bringing everyone back is that you have a universe timeline and as it is to date, movies don't get released chronologically but do fit it a timeline so you can still make movies including those characters. Hence Hiddleson's dead again but still has years left on his contract. As for Spiderman that's always been an issue with Marvel selling the rights to Sony way back when before comic movies smashed it and now unable to get them back. Certainly some of the peripherals like Vision, Scarlet, Falcon, Black Panther, Winter Solider won't be back.

But how despondent did Thanos look at the end after achieving his goal. Looking over a vibrant world, but he'd sacrificed Gamora for what ?

    Spolier:
Enjoyed the movie. Ending definitely sets it up for the time stone to be used to bring characters back. Josh Brolin was great as Thanos and I actually thought one of the next best actors was Spiderman. Again, he was the only one who I felt I cared about when he died. Not Loki, not Gamora and not any of the people who fell to dust.

Felt the Vision/Scarlett Witch thing was a bit overdone. My mate and I had bets on who would have the lowest screen time. He said Starlord (terrible call) and I went with Hawkeye because honestly no one gives a shit about Hawkeye. No Hawkeye in the movie surely gets me the win and isn't a disqualification, right? Right?!

There were a few plot holes here and there but over all it was very entertaining and I definitely didn't check the time once. Didn't stay for the post-credits scene. Sounds like I didn't miss much.

In Star Wars, they walked straight through that shield, didn't they?

Long bow if you ask me.
