Considering it. Don't think his average increases by more than 2-3 points. Just think he will be more consistent in a more dominant team

I know the Fox predictions are pretty lame, but if the Roosters ran with that bench Napa would be a bargain.

Yeah if Liu is starting lock he'll be in my team in my frf. He averaged 51 when starting at lock in 2017 but he does rely on tb's to boost his score as he doesn't rack up the big tackle counts.

This certainly wont be my team coming into Round 1, but I thought there might be some value for the forum to consider what can happen if you go for DPP flexibility, particularly with hook/half/wfb and focus on a few bench players that may rise in cash early on.

Got to put some more though into it, but keen for someone input who might try thinking along the same lines

    1. Ponga
    2. M'bye
    3. Hayne
    4. Milne
    5. Dufty
    6. C. Walker
    7. K. Nikorama
    8. Ese,ese
    9. Korosau
    10. Lodge
    11. Arrow
    12. Murray
    13. Brown (c)

    14. Cartwright
    15. Evans
    16. Asofa-Solomona
    17. Aubusson

    18. Butcher
    19. Lussick
    20. Fisher-Harris
    21. Garvey / Havilli

Obviously heaps of holes in this approach, but I think there is consistent scoring and cash building potential, before bringing in guns when they bottom out, after more cash is available. This year I feel is going to need a whole new approach and DPP flexibility and making cash in all 21 positions will be key. No room for dead wood.

Koroisau and Garvey as only hookers? That is different to what has been posted by most others

Early on the season it is all about value I reckon. He is starting prop and priced well for that. Has made some decent scores in the past.

Korosau, should go close to playing full minutes and score 40+ consistently and most other hooking options have question marks around them. M'bye should also be fairly consisent at full back. I think Hayne will do well in the centres, despite what others think. I think K. Nikorama will score a bit above his average and playing 80 minutes at half in a competitive side. C. Walker has potential to be a gun in the halves and with DPP.

I also think that Aubusson should be one of the first picked on the bench for almost every team. There is no need to have a WFB/CTR in your 18 to 21 not earning cash or making shit scores. You can easily cover the role with DPPs and put bottom priced forwards who are likely to play consistent minutes there and ride them up to better scoring players

Serious question, why are people hung up on Croft? Seems like a big outlay for a inexperienced half

Because in his limited first grade appearances he has never scored lower than his 2018 break even

Any thoughts on Coote? Think I'd rather have him over Hiku in my team.
Means running with C. Walker instead of DCE?
I can see some upside with Calker. He seemed to have a few spit the dummy rounds towards the end of last year where he didn't score so well because he thought he wasn't being paid enough.

When I went through the forum recently I was curious as to why so many people were going with Alvaro over Evans.

Aside from the fact that Evans will start on prop, instead of Alvaro, due to his size and playing style. Evans is likely to play at least equal to or more minutes and score around the same, while being priced considerably less.

    Am I missing something?

I slotted Manu in over Coote yesterday for his DPP and would be hoping for a run of early tries if I stick with him, kid is a unit

If Fifita goes back to no.1 fantasy prop option 1

    55-63 + 35-45 (90-108)

    35-50 + 50-55 (85-105)

higher floor higher ceiling for the the GI/Fifita combo IMO

Massive potential, and likely to join the elite KM eating halves who always score well, I can't see much downside to Croft

Apologies for throwing in another team here, I'm drifting off track and was hoping for a bit of steer please...

    Cook
    NAS Gurgess
    Brown Murray Arrow
    Cronk Watson
    Latrell Milne
    Tedesco Nofo Ponga

    Lichaa RFM Lodge Cartwright

Croker Garvey Hiku Butcher (or whoever...)

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thx

Yep I’m keen on Coote. Had him in my team since the beginning. Won’t get rid of him either.
If Cody Walker is now happy at the Rabbitohs and the pay dispute is now over I think he’ll be brilliant A-Rey is bound to go down at some stage and Walker will benefit greatly from that. He’s already dangerous with his runs.

I think I’m talkingmyself into it

Is NBrown your captain? struggling to see any back up option if he goes down mate. Would need Cook playing 80, I don't see a majo upside in Nofo personally I'd downgrade him and upgrade Cook

You are missing out on how crap Evans is. No guarantees at all that he starts. If he does he'll be a lot more popular though.
