We finished somewhere between 10-13. Looking forward to the old rivalry in the cricket against the Kiwi's this summer.

Michael Chammas, the club accepts responsibility for mismanagement but believes that the punishment is excessive as Wests Tigers gained no competitive advantage from an offer that Farah has not earned a cent from, or even accepted at all.
It is believed that Pascoe has linked with Lee Hagipantelis from Bryden's Lawyers for representation.

The NRL has blocked the Wests Tigers contract with former NSW Blues coach Laurie Daley. Earlier this year the Tigers were set to sign Daley as a halves mentor. It was understood his priority was working with reigning Dally M Halfback of the year Luke Brooks.
The NRL has said because Daley's job as a radio presenter has ties to the betting industry his contract will not be registered. They believe his role there could create a conflict of interest.
At this stage the deal is not going ahead with an NRL spokesman stating, “Laurie checked with the integrity unit and then withdrew from the Wests Tigers role."
I'm not sure where to begin with this one. I can see the conspiracy theorists will come out saying NRL trying to keep Tigers down, pointing to Pascoe's de-registration, the exorbitant fine, but the drum is getting louder. The NRL Indigenous coach and Australian selector can't work for the Tigers because he has links to the betting industry. We're sponsored by Neds for fuck sake, pretty sure they have links to the betting industry.

Clearly an implausible and feeble excuse there by the NRL.
Although rather than keeping the Tigers down, it unmistakably reeks of the NRL trying to protect the Tigers from adding to their long list of poor coaching decisions.

Moses Mbye named as captain. I was not expecting that considering he hasn't even been a Tiger for 12 months yet.
Personally, I was hoping Rowdy (Lawrence) would get it. He bleeds Tiger blood, is experienced, well educated and a well spoken young man, but never mind will get behind whoever is made captain of the Tigers.

I think everyone would have been happy for Rowdy to get it. Him missing out could be a sign of how much time he'll spend on the field this year.

Thinking the same thing, with his dodgy hammies I wouldn't be surprised to see him only play about 60 minutes a game, leaving Matterson to be our 80 minute edge forward.
Also Robbie Farah announced this will be his last year but didn't say the R word. (Retirement)

I've got Matterson playing the 80 min edge forward from lock with Huth on the bench. I'd like to see Twal & Matulino start up front. Although if rumours about ET are true may be Huth will start.
