It works. I think you have to do it on PC. I did it last year and I've seen someone did this week gone with Surgess

My plan was to turn Brailey into McInnes after rd 12. He's a keeper and will play right up to rd 18 where I may have to take a hit.

I dont want to be messing about wasting trades bringing in bye friendly players just to make up the numbers and then have trade them back out afterwards.

I'd like to be close to having my top 17 before the byes are done so I can finish strongly on the run home.

A few have mentioned it here already but only guns or cows for me as well from here on.

Weird - it worked fine last year but this year doesn't seem to be possible due to not being able to sub out your captain to get the VC score after the first game lockout
(if there's a different way to do it please tell )

I tried it on the PC too not the app (I don't trust the app for anything....dang newfangled technology...bet Skynet is involved somehow)

Bennett gave an update on Hunt;

"Ben is pretty close. He's not far away," Bennett said confidently.

"He's done all the training he's supposed to do. He's training pretty hard now so it will be up to the medical staff to make a decision on him."

I hope they give him another week. If Norman is only 2-4 weeks, I'll hold but then if Hunt is back, I have to play Lamb and Frawley.

With Hoppa confirmed for Sundays, he's a good trade for Turbo.

Who was your (c) for the test? It won't work if Smith is (c) and your other hooker has played already

I traded Brailey to KPritchard a few weeks back anticipating Seggy's return. For now I'd say the best solution is Brailey to McInnes for R13 if you are looking for the permanent hooker upgrade.
Niko's performance recently will have him rewarded with plenty of minutes off the bench once Hunt is back so I'm wary of picking up Macca

Can't remember which week I was actively looking for it though...if it was rnd 10 then Macca played after Cam...if it was rnd 9 then he played before him

Yeah this is the most likely. I couldn't do it one time last season because of this scenario. The time it worked was Tedesco VC Surgess C. Of course that was when Surgess scored that +90 so it backfired

Can't decide hold Faufusi because he had a bad game but covers 15 & 18 or get Kapow who is this week or never and could be a super POD season keeper

My trades this week are Norman>CWalker & Suli>Hoppa. Then next week will go McGuire/Wallace/Kaufusi>Graham, CHN/Stone/Yates>Surgess, and Slater>rookie ctr (hopefully someone named for rd12)

Will give me a team in Rd12 of Friend, Graham, Gallen, Surgess, Crichton, Whitehead, Mannering, CWalker, Hoppa, Cotric, Fui, RTS, Semi, rookie (possibly) and Abbey (unlikely).

Ok so planned trades are
Idis to scott (I'm a couple of k short of fui)
Faufusi to surgess (the loss in cash and points outweighs having him in round 15 and 18).

I have norman, but kept lamb as back up so will be hilding and running sj/lamb combo..... really hoping hunt is back this week to try make up ground.

Don't think he had a bad game, just reduced minutes

Oh he had a bad game alright. 2 errors, 3 penalties given away. He got hooked for sure.

I'm thinking of trading him to Friend this week. That's kind of banking on Friend returning to keeper level scores but I don't know I think it might be a trade worth making since McInnes is back making money and Brailey is just about to peak.

I thought that could be a possibility. I'm looking at him or Croker, but leaning towards Croker. The big plus Hoppa has is the DPP.
