Fair enough. I think its to be expected when you go to a new club. Like why would he try to save his old team now he has to get on the good side of his new team and mates. But I agree he probably didn't realise they'll take that as a direct quote from him

Is there a team roll back button that rolls back to the original team you selected? You know after making 15,000 trades in a couple of weeks.

Just hit clear team and auto-fill

Probably just as good a team.

I just did it and got Ben Hampton and Matt McIlwrick as my 2 hookers. What could go wrong?!

Actually, a lot could go wrong with my auto-fill team

It picked James Tamou and Anthony Milford outside my starting 13 - then reserved Jordan Drew and Robert Jennings ahead of them

Would be interesting to see how a league would go if everyone used an auto fill squad to start and then after round 1 traded your way out

Sounds like something Slats would be interested in. Very similar to the strategy he uses each year.

We've talked about it on previous threads.

Not necessarily auto-fill, but everyone starting with the same squad of 25 and seeing who can trade their way to the top.

Anyone feel like putting in a WAGS league for this?

After clearing and auto-filling my team I had to recreate it, and somehow I ended up with no Smith or Fifita, but a back row of JDB, Surgess, Gallen, ET, sione and Sironen.

Don't even need Brailey or Elgey in my 17, they are sitting happy as NPRs

I'd be interested in doing this, if we can fix something up in time. If we get enough interest probably needs its own thread to sort out original selections without getting lost.

    Lol

In related news, spoke with Slats on FB over the last couple of days.  He has said he can't keep up with Fantasy and so is not playing.

I even laid out the biggest bit of bait in the history of forever.  My last ditch effort to get Slatsy on here was: "Rabs said you weren't on the Fantasy Fanatics forum because you were soft as...just sayin'".

Should have told him they increased the amount of trades available.

Should play 80, and should average 50ish. In isolation, he is a solid pick. Thing is who do you have as your other hooker.

Will most likely be McInnes, I just can't fit Smith and be happy anywhere else unless he has Brailey with him.

McInnes (120 as Captain)/Lichaa (55) maybe average around 175 between them, at $930k
Smith (130 as Captain)/Brailey (35) as an alternative average around 165, at $770k.

The Smith combo leaves you around 160k to find that 10 point difference (160k should actually find you 17 extra points going by the MN).  You have the most reliable Captain in Smith.  You may also get more out of Brailey then that 30/35.  Or Brailey may not be there in a few rounds at all.

Brailey also has the potential to make you some serious coin that neither of the fist combination do. He will double his money if he hits that 35. So for me Smith/Brailey has a bit more upside, albeit at a greater risk.
