So Russ, i see you fell victim to Newtons awesome appeal! Bad call on Newton vs Brady

Going to be an interesting week. only a few point in projected differentials in the L2 playoffs.

I was tempted to run Dixon as Flex given his efforts on the weekend and increase in usage, but picked up Powell on waivers, so now I'm hoping Forte stays rested. Looks fairly even between myself and Mearcats (albeit a 6 point lead to him)

Yeah I need Julio to play or I am banking too much on Rodgers and Bell. Sure Rodgers it the #1 QB the last 3 rounds, and Bell got 47 last match but I feel like I'm up against far too much overall consistency. My players are mostly projected for single digits, and theirs are on average 3 points more. A 15 point line is probably being generous since I think it was last game against Rawls Deep I got slaughtered Shocked

Yes mate, definitely a bad call.  Was concerned about Brady without Gronk against Ravens D, and Newton had the best matchup of the waiver QBs.   Even with Brady against Denver, and a lot of points probably being scored in Panthers-Redskins game, I wont trust Newton this week.

Good pick up with Powell - I tried but you were higher in waiver order.  He should get a lot of work if Forte is out.

I also tried to get Powell but as with you @Russ, being number 7 on the waivers makes it pretty difficult to pick anyone up heading into finals.

Should be a good game for me against @BroncHose. If Gordon was playing I'd say I was home but without him it'll be tight. Needing Jimmy G to fire for me after last weeks miserable effort.

So I'm wondering if its time to dump the broncos DST. NE this week, and if by some miracle i get thru its chiefs.

its going to be hard to score points against two of the front running MVP QBs

    Thoughts anyone?

Ehh defences are always a toss up for mine. I would stream it, although the Broncos are a premier D.

Yup I have had the Broncos all season but have subbed them out for Miami of all teams. I was away during the waiver period and tried to pick up the Bills but had no luck. For me the Broncos offence is too crap for their D to go that well against NE. Brady is careful too, doesn't give up much. I reckon NE run Blount all day. They've done that a couple times this season.

For me, Broncos are benched anyway!

EDIT: I wouldn't dump them all together though, unless you have a really good option on waivers for next week. If I get through this week I think I will be starting them next week.

    Thanks lads - good feedback.

Rotated out a Tate to pick up Greenbay for a week against Chicago. After picking off Wilson all game last week, their D should take some heart into a woeful chicago attack.

@Bronchose.. The Vikings D is a good show this week, if available, against the Colts. About 3 of the offensive linemen are rookies, bit of a 'fine mesh sieve' type unit Drug

Good waiver pick up - if I didn't have Ravens and Vikings stashed in L2 and L3, I would have taken a shot with GB - hope it works out.

NFL weather has temp at game time at -2F (-15C) and wind at 17mph for that game - uncomfortable conditions for QBs and kickers - particularly the wind.  Passing becomes erratic and turnover prone over about 15mph.  So low passing points, and better chance of D picking up interceptions, and STs get more looks with more punting returns.

Vegas Betting also has Packers-Bears currently as lowest overall total points, and Bears is lowest individual team total with Browns and Jags.

I'm up against Rogers and Adams in L2 playoff - hoping my reasoning is sound and GB have the windy/cold weather passing problems too.

Also have Jordan Howard in L3 playoff - again hoping Bears passing fails, and they run a lot.
