Also keeping Cleary but also unsure about Galvin. Only because I already have Metcalf and Flanno at 5/8 and feel like it's sideways even if just for the cash. Might regret it. If I had to I'd probably trade Flanno though

Edit: Actually I take that back. After looking more closely at it, Flanno to Galvin is an upgrade

I traded Cleary to Galvin to grab money. If I hadn't done it and Cleary was out next week, I'd have no halfback. I'm hoping that Cleary doesn't play until Rd 7.
    Good luck, everyone!

Yeah, I had Metcalf and Brown so kind of wrote off Galvin... but the more I thought about it I knew I had to move one of them on to get him in. It's annoying as neither would have been in my trade plans for weeks, maybe even all season. But with the Moses news, I had to keep Brown and have sadly moved Metcalf on.

This is not something I'd ever do, or have done in SC, but I've got off to such a bad start and figured there's no point playing how I usually do (bank before points) so I've gone at it quite aggressively this week. Will see how it plays out.

    Levi > Koro
    Metcalf > Galvin
    Kini > Hammer

Don't love the Hammer trade, but of the potential targets he was the only one I could afford so I'm hoping he performs against the Titans how I hope he will.

Kept Cleary for now but still confused about next week. I thought if you didn't have anyone playing in a particular position you got a 0 for that position. A couple of podcasts said this week that Hynes owners who keep Cleary (this is me) will get an Auto Emergency score next week when Hynes is out.

Can anyone here clarify this for sure? Do I get a zero, or an AE score?

Either way, I find that in formats like this as VSDT it is far easier to hold Cleary, which is what I plan to do, for now. Will see if further details emerge or a reason to undo it occurs.

You do get an AE for it (but it is your one and only AE).
It does mean there's less to weigh up with a captaincy loop (as either way you're getting the AE score)

Cool, thanks for the info. I guess Cleary stays, then. Smile

New recruit Hammer on 114 at the moment. Nice. Played Bostock too.

Out of curiosity, anyone else pick up Tom Eisenhuth in the wings/centres? I know SC rewards the more dynamic players, but he's chugging along pretty well and if he'd had that dual position in Fantasy he'd have been a lock in all teams, surely. 72 at the moment.

Bad start to my season! I have been using too many trades, and it doesn't look like I can stop soon! I have Plath and Galvin as 5/8, not wanting to trade either, but emergency score for two weeks isn't realistic. I also need to strengthen 2RF.

    Ha, well done!

What a debacle of a round. i had Dom Young, put the C on Laybutt ( not much choice) and might have been saved by Strange, who I tried so hard to avoid.
Anyone who survived this round is a winner.

Had a massive round last week - top 3% or something mad like that. Climbed some solid ranks but I've completely undone that all this week.

Played Henry and May with Hughes sitting in NPR.

Didn't play Strange or Burbo, but played Talagi, other May and Hutch.

Captained HTF, with Ponga as my other FB.

I have Hynes and Cleary too, and my lowest non-playing bench was 35, so I guess that's one "win?"

I've never been a Supercoach person until I was invited into a 20 player, $100 cash comp in 2022. I had only played dreamteam and fantasy until then. Nearly won it... got $500. Ranked 1752 this year. Injuries and suspensions pretty much determine your fate in these games but fuck it's good fun Drug
