I would be slightly worried about whether Mann takes a hooking role and robs minutes, but he could be worth a punt, but it will be a punt.

Maybe wait and see 1 week to check role/minutes...it's what I am doing.

Hey mate not sure if you're playing for overall or h2h but if overall then might be worth considering going for a JMK or Robson over Grant. With the storm bye in round 9 you'll only get 5 games out of Grant before origin where (last year at least) he probably gets managed a fair bit. A fair few people will trade him down after R8 for an origin compatible hooker.

If H2H or just really want Grant, carry on!

Would be pretty funny to update Turbos pic, since they still haven't added pics of any players at new clubs other than Dolphins for team lists, fantasy, profiles etc.

You need to get Haas into your team.

Yeah was thinking maybe they were about to roll out pictures for the greys when I noticed it earlier. Clicking his profile now has the new pic with him smiling, wasn't that one before, but still a massive downgrade. It's so dark I want to trade him out scratch

Could get McInnis or Ted. McInnis balances my team better, but Ted is Ted. Defining moment of my season last year was not picking him up in Rnd 7 last year when he went on a tear from his dip at 614k. Got Ponga instead and cost me literally hundreds of points.

Sharks have an 80-minute hooker and play both edges for 80 too. They have four middle forwards on the bench. It's hard to get too optimistic about McInnis.

Brailey and Trindall for sure. Not sure who it is worth keeping an extra week.

    Brailey & Hogood.
Trindall can be used for looping another week.
    Loiero isn't urgent.
    Ilias could go big again.
Sutton is losing cash, but will plod along.
Take the money from Hopgood and pick up Cook / Grant / Robson to improve your Hooker.

Going to be a nice POD with enough perceived uncertainty around his future role, to scare people off the next couple of weeks, even if scoring well in big minutes.

Yeah I was tempted, but I have Sloan/Warbrick stinking up my 3rd WFB, so decided to go straight up to Ted instead of McInnes.

He is on the radar along with cheese.

Who would you bench for Ted (and would you play the benchie in your 17)?

I'm looking at Bird but realistically Ted is more exciting, just unsure how to deal with my overperforming WFB lineup of Miller, CNK & Walsh if I did get him.

    As you noted...team balance etc

I need a playable mid and mcinnes seems like the best option under 613k. Tempted by Thompson i get the feeling he might keep playing 50ish mins, or a wild gamble on pangai..

Mcinnes should be reliable for 45s. Could push 50ish if lucky.

Would have been better if he played rnd 13 but what can you do

    Just looking at doing:-
    Hopgood -> Walsh
    Doorey -,> Mcinnes (probs)

It did cross my mind to miss walsh and gamble on Ponga next week

I think ill sit on the 3rd trade this week as i havent saved any. Couchman is appealing but maybe ill leave that a week. If he ends up getting the starting spot over BMM then its an easy trade anyway

I'd be playing 4 WFBs (Turbo, Miller, Walsh, Ted) for a while. I know that unbalances the team but that doesn't matter so much if they're scoring well.

Turbo is definitely a sell before Origin though (bad bye schedule) and Walsh has a trickier run coming up too.

Trades this week are Hopgood/Brailey to Robson/Bird

And I am 99% sure I am trading Turbo to Teddy. Turbo had that niggle at the start of the season, got over it and did OK for a game, and now has this back spasm. From what Ive read this is due to the changes to his game and who knows how long this will take to sort. On top of that hes looked 60% his former self most of the season and last week he looked like me playing footy in high school.

    That makes:

    Robson
    Haas Murray Ford
    Hosking Katoa
    Cleary Johnson
    Hammer Bird
    Miller Teddy CNK

    Boyd Preston Carywright Alamoti
    Warbrick ITT KNik Doorey

And I'm pretty happy. Warbrick and Doorey will go next few weeks but that's hopefully all I need to sort before Origin.

Think it depends on team makeup and bank, priced at $582k with a BE of 58 leaves you with only backwards to go if he shits the bed or doesn’t get the perceived minutes. It’s a very awkward price.

    :FrizelStop:

Discounting his HIA game Friz is averaging 62 so far this year and if he doesn’t make Origin is available for the first bye. I’m not gonna lie I’m kinda keen to take the punt on the man

Bringing in McInnes, Teddy and Friz is quite nostalgic

Teddy isn't far behind Ponga for HIA risk. Keeps dropping down just as the tackler arrives, so is very likely to have ongoing problems unless he sorts his technique out.

I think is flying under the radar only because most have so many EDGs this season. Nice pickup if you can make him fit.
