    Pre season

Got in some good carb preloading in, took it easy and had a nice relaxing time waiting for TLT
    The wicked wings were excellent

    Round 5 trades

Building depth by picking up a couple of value picks, both potential keepers or at worst very playable with some cash potential going forward

    Round 5 team

Team is quite well balanced at the moment
Missing WFB and HOK cover at the moment but will run the gauntlet here while taking as many good earners as I can regardless of position

Chee Kam and Cartwright will potentially need to be moved on soon but no hurry
Spent the past couple of weeks refreshing and getting the right cows rather than chasing keepers so it's starting to pay off

Will target Hynes after the bye by using the above but worst case will use Carrigan and move Ford into starting.

Lawton gamble didn't pay off but feel he isn't far away from a bench spot, worst case could turn him to a player like Hands or AKP as a quick cash grab. No urgency

Captain Cleary this week, Moses VC

Cheers, just having fun and a bit lazy so it can be handy
The pro stuff isn't really worth it, better of giving MTB some beer money as the projections are worthless, BE are bordeline useful but the byes are ok I guess.
I wouldnt have got it again this year but got it free from a stuff up from 2022 so can't complain

Not going to overthink things but chucked in a little so gives some light coffee reading material if you like that

    Round 6 team 24k itb

Cartwright + CheeKam out, for Johnson + KNikorima

Johnson gives me a 'potential non origin keeper' but scores well with base stats regardless  so just a solid scorer as long as he stays healthy
Hopefully can jag another try or make a few big plays to expand on his recent scores.
KNiko is just a cash down with some potential.

Will potentially look to bring in Hynes and a couple of cut price depth players (Cheese) next week but see how this week goes first

Other than that rolling the dice with the cheap WFB again this week but the 18-21 should all be making cash (Lawton on bench this week) so can't complain
Will maybe aim to upgrade Warbrick at his bye perhaps

    Robson
    Haas Carrigan Ford
    EKatoa Loiero
    Cleary Moses
    Bird Lemuelu
    Miller HTF Warbrick

    Johnson, Hopgood, Hosking, Preston
    Alamoti, Lawton, KNiko, IKatoa

    Round 7 Trades

Plan is to cash down on 2 potential underpriced players in Smith/Mcinnes and clear the injured Lawton
Mcinnes is a points play and to hold the line for 3 weeks
Plan is to bring Tapine in soon so if this fails I can trade up here or look to bring him in another way
Helps strengthen the bench and gives me options going forward

BSmith is coming back as looks to be over his rib injury
I think the reason to start with him hasn't changed and looking at similar priced players his name still comes back up
DPP Mid/Hok is badly needed too on the bench and he has good byes that overlap with other players so will roll the dice and back him to get some good scores. Worst case he should ok for his price of mid 30s so not alot to lose here

I like it mate, looks like 3 solid trades.

Although Carrigan to McInness obviously isn't without its risks.

Could just do the first and third trades, or is Carrigan to McInness essential to generate the cash to do Lawton to Teddy?

Yes it is essentially for that reason
You have to lose somewhere to upgrade elsewhere unfortunately
The only players below him are BSmith who I am bringing in and if I spend less they will still be playable in the 17 (Couchman/Sele/Crossland) with even more risk

Carrigan was probably always going to be traded to Tapine in a couple weeks, so this is simply happening earlier
If I kept him then that would mean Lawton would probably become CNK (Which isn't that much of an upgrade on Warbrick's ceiling)

I always had plans to bring in Teddy pre origin however so this allows it to happen
    Cheers for the feedback

Fair enough mate, good trades in that case and solid reasoning.
