I don't remember a season with this much carnage in round 2, add to that the Panthers' bye, and coaches are already struggling to field a decent 17. I expect the gap between the the top teams and the rest to widen very quickly

I could be wrong and he could well end up averaging close to 50 points, but he's not someone I would pull my team apart for to get

I think I’m gonna stick with my gut and get Bird in this week and sure up centre. If Walsh brains it and Miller struggles next week I can get Walsh in or I’ll have the option of going a T. Boyd down to S. Luke and E. Butcher to Tohu.

Being able to get rid of Talau feels nice too…

    Trades are..

    Cheese to Preston
    Talau to Bird

33 trades til round 20 and 71k itb

    Grant
Haas BMM (Ford back next week) Hopgood
    Katoa Loiero
    Douiehi Trindall
    Bird Alamoti
    Miller Turbo Warbrick

    E. Butcher Preston Ford (loop) Cleary (loop)
    Cartwright I. Thompson Boyd Doorey

man my team is giving me headaches so many variables to consider this week
on the halves candidates to replace cleary the possible replacements a-rey & sj have an injury ridden past & usually get injured at some stage of the season so imo they are no goes. that leaves dce/moses/hughes as the options for me.

The one thing the top teams do tend to have in common is they have missed almost all of the carnage to date so they aren't dealing with injuries this week and were less likely to have Cleary in their teams.

The flip side of that is that typically they don't know what they are doing, so over a season will be easy to catch.

In the top 20 there are 3 of the eels and storm only teams and another that has 8 storm players, plus others like rank 7. Making up ground should be relatively easy.

Most other years you look in awe at the top 20 and go "how do I possibly catch them?" they have every important cow and all the good scoring guns you needed. This year is the opposite.

Scans cleared Tyson Frizell of serious injury or fracture, was the hope considering favourable mechanism (foot roll in vs out). Will miss this week but otherwise sounding like it won’t keep him out for too long
